It amazes me how even Tory British politicians want to sell out UK sovereignty. Why? People before and since Queen Elizabeth risked and gave their lives to keep totalitarian Europe away. Now, they are opening the gates to the enemy. Unbelievable.
It's not just free markets. It's a matter of personal freedom and individual choice to do what you think is best for yourself. The EU claiming that 20% interest is extortionate whereas 19.5% is fine seems pretty arbitrary, why can't you allow someone the liberty to choose for themselves?
The amount of time you get to speak on, often complex subjects, is ridiculous. The reason is, of course, debate and democracy doesn't matter in the EU.
We pay our MEPs mega bucks just to rubber stamp legislation - not to criticise or amend it. Most are very happy with this arrangement, happy as pigs in the trough.

Imagine the DISGUST that Europeans would feel if their taxes were being used to prop up a banana republic that :
1.Planned to have an un-elected El Presidente.
2.Was run by an un-elected `commission´given immunity from prosecution.
3.Had no respect for voters rights.
4.Intended to form it's own military.
5.Had a police force that was granted immunity from prosecution.
6.Refused to fight massive corruption.
7.Paid it's un-elected burocrats millions in benefits.
Disgusting ain't it !

Yeah. Timing speeches so that points get cut off and opinions don't get stated fully or properly is destructive.

Thatcher makes goog points about how regulatory harmonisation stifles efficiency-boosting competition in "Statecraft".
