I lived in Portland, Oregon for over 20 years and heard him many times - he is a world class blues shouter, I kid you not! He was also the inspiration for John Belushi to create his Blues Brothers act (no joke!). Belushi was filming Animal House in Eugene, Oregon, he met Curtis, who played a bunch of records for him - and the rest is history!!!

@1953jazzman Curtis was the singer for Robert Cray when they met, just before he left that band to sing with Room full of Blues then Santana.
