Why did he only show gameplay of the first chapter? Do you even have the game because it looks like you only downloaded the demo. Plus you didn't even show how you interact with your partner. A great example would be in chapter 2 where you encounter your first co-op obstacle. And further more you do know how to upgrade weapons right? Why didn't you even tell us about The Mercenaries mode I think its worth mentioning.

Video games do have more advantage when it comes to suspense and scare factor than movies do. At least, movies these days (see the Resident Evil adaptations for the crappy schlock-fests they are). But I do agree that RE4 and 5 were not scary in the least. Pretty to look at, sure, and with more engaging characters than the films could ever dream of, but not scary. For me, the last great scary RE game was 2 and to some extent 3. I never played Code Veronica to compare, either.
@Elfrunner I 100% agree with you RE2 ftw. I loved playing that game in the dark the the volume up. but if you want 'shit your pants' scary then you should play a game like amnesia the dark descent with the lights out in a dark room with the volume turned all the way up. what an awesome ride.

@Elfrunner Dude trust me, the feeling of helplessness, the dark eerie mood and the omg wtf was that moments make this game one of the scariest games of this generation. Not to mention its really hard to stop playing. I think its an indy game so its not about looking pretty (it does look good for what its worth) but more about awesome scary gameplay. It is actually quite old school if I think about it
I checked it out here on YouTube and it looks ok. The commentator was cracking a lot of jokes while he played, though, so I may actually have to download it to get the effect. Since it's first person, it does remind me of the original Doom a little, and I always thought that game was scary, too. Doom 3, not so much.

As an action game, RE5 is pretty good. As an RE game, it sucks. It's too action-packed, it's too generous with its supplies, it's not scary... even the voice acting in the very first game was scarier than this!
thats everybodies problem. We would like to see Old style RE or at least with Zombies and creatures like "Lickers"( form RE 2) and "Hunters" ( RE 1).. I think they should do 2 different games titles .. like Dino Crisis that was a more action pack RE style.
I think you should have gone into detail comparing 4 and 5, such as the new inventory system. If you're gonna give background, maybe talk about the 5 year gap between the games, or the ones in between. It looks like you half-assed it, because there is a lot to say about the bosses and the plot. And later in the game, you're given almost a novel of background reading which links every game. Looks like you made this based on the first 15 min. of the game. If anything you should update the review

WOW worst review EVAR! It is quite obvious you didn't really play this game fully or play any of the earlier enstallmentsat all you fake gamer if you would have, you would have shown footage from later stages of the game and not the first level, and you have no excuse as this game came out in March of '09 and you put this up in July, and i beat the game in 1 day, you wish it could be easier? Pussnuts! ; and this game just is not frighting at all, sorry you thought it was.

@Animesk8r1 altho i felt akward with the controls, i had to set em up under something else instead of default. the default didnt feel like residetn evil 4 style so i had to change :P as him saying the game is hard, maybe he isnt good at the game to begin with or just wanted to make a quick review and tried to rush it. As an action game, RE5 is pretty good. As an RE game, it sucks. It's too action-packed, it's too generous with its supplies, it's not scary... even the voice acting in the very first game was scarier than this!

I think you should have gone into detail comparing 4 and 5, such as the new inventory system. If you're gonna give background, maybe talk about the 5 year gap between the games, or the ones in between. It looks like you half-assed it, because there is a lot to say about the bosses and the plot. And later in the game, you're given almost a novel of background reading which links every game. Looks like you made this based on the first 15 min. of the game. If anything you should update the review
