  • When discussing Kn to g3 at 3:30 - it should be noted that you would lose the bishop after h6, Bh4 followed by g5

  • which forces the exchange between the dark squared bishop and black Kn

  • @dvdiseased That would leave the black king terribly exposed and the white queen and white bishop are in a position to come crashing through the black defence if they were to open it up so quickly.

  • Nice channel

  • @DigitalSkyline Thanks Digital. :)

  • I love the way you dingyed jucinborgs question! Keep posting bobby!

  • Why didn't Queen take pawn @ C3 late in game?

  • what website? can i have a link?

  • I've been analysing the game, an interesting variation is at 3:57, why not Knight e4?

  • @FILE48BOR Thanks File.. :)

  • @FILE48BOR :)

  • why on 13:45 black didnt play e5-e4?

  • @firefly0993 BxP and white wins a pawn.

  • love the video

  • At 9:06, after Black plays a5, why didn't White simply push b5, since that was what it wanted to do anyway?

  • He just seen further ..... that's my fav line :)

  • One of your best videos yet. Your commentary on why certain moves were not played was excellent. The use of the arrows etc was helpful too. Please keep these coming.

  • @theticoboy Thanks boy :)

  • Thanks, Jerry!

  • jerry i noticed you have vip on chess cube is it worth it and how much does it cost( in dollars not crowns lol)

  • @guitarfella581 I don't know if it's worth it or not. I also don't know it's exact value since a friend gifted it to me. :)

  • I've been playing tournaments since I was 10 years old. It took me years before I could finally crack the 2000 uscf point. Know your openings and tactics and those are the most important things imho. It's amazing how some of the top player's games seem so simple at times. People say to be good at chess you have to look moves ahead, but more often than not, players at that caliber don't look that deep- they just know WHEN to...

  • amazing play by both sides it was interesting to watch how white took advantage of blacks weakness on c6 square thanks for posting it :)

  • Hey Jerry..please answer this what will happen if around 16:43.....after 1.Bb7 Qxb7 2.c8=Q Rd1+ 3.Qxd1 Qxc8.....isnt it pretty much the same?? and doesnt black have a slight advantage with the b-pawn???

  • @knife071 Good question. If Rd1+ kh2

  • @ChessNetwork ya but after the trade...black still is better......

  • @knife071 Look closer. :)

  • @ChessNetwork Ohhh right...i only quite saw it after i set up my board with that position....lol...thx jerry...you've been a great help!!!

  • @ChessNetwork ahhh Black's Queen is hanging! Nice.

  • @ChessNetwork Nice! I was just about to ask the same Rd1+ question.

  • I'm going to rip the audio from one of your vids and put it on my iPod :)

On a slightly more serious note: I would like to tell you that I learned everything I know about chess from you; you're a great teacher.

Also, will you make another middle game practice video? I'm still a beginner and I need some help with that.

  • @Drupee Thanks. Glad to help. :)

  • Very cool how Laznicka takes advantage of that pawn! He played very nicely. Mr. So played so-so, which wasn't enough :P

You always do a great job on analyzing these Jerry! Hope to see more!

    Cheers!

  • @Wuzzysbrand06 Thanks Wuz. :)

  • Love these

  • This might be your best analysis to date. That was a very well done video. Thanks.

  • @dumpnchase Thanks. :)

  • Great analysis

  • thanks for the commentary, really helpful and insightful

  • @warLock21X wow...talk about a flamer, youtube warrior, keyboard bully. I went to your site to see how a chess video should be done..and lo and behold, I found nothing.

  • Very instructive comments, thanks again!

  • Great game and commentary. Thank you.

  • awesome! initially i was like why didn't that bishop go straight to the pawn and then analyzed it a bit more and saw what you saw.

  • :)@crayrayc :)

  • Gr8 commentary once again Jerry!

  • If I had your voice, I would sit in the corner of my room and talk to myself all day.

  • @Drupee How did you know my schedule? :)

  • @Drupee Agreed with that voice !!!!

  • You have fantastic commentary.

  • I love you.

  • omg you wrote first hahaha :) thats awesome

  • at 16:54 would nf4 be a good move? threatens checkmate and has a fork on the pawn on h3 (if the g pawn moves) and the bishop.

  • @phant11 Similar to the game continuation. White just plays Qg3, and after the forced trade of queens, black won't be able to stop the c-pawn.

  • where should i leave u the message?

  • @WfireH YT inbox is fine.

  • Jerry as always, great stuff.

  • how much would the chess lessons cost? i'm interested.

  • @Ditharu Leave your info in my YT inbox.

  • Another great commentary, Jerry. You are the only person on youtube that I never see with any dislikes. That says a lot.

  • I think black should of taken the knight before it got to c6.

  • question : at 14:22 you say if r+ then kh2 rxr cxd8=q rxq and black has a rook and a knight for the q however black has a b pawn that can start rolling. Is that a variation worth considering?

  • amazing analysis!

  • This game is a good example on playing on the queenside and making positional moves not involving king safety.I was looking forward to seeing such a game because I am weak in terms of positional play.

  • Holy cow that was amazing.

  • Great game. You show how tempo in the early game effects the later stages.

    Great commentary.

  • @Dzhao14 Thanks for taking the time to relay this compliment Dzhao.

  • How much will cost me to have chess lessons with you Jerry?

  • @withyou78 Leave your info in my YT inbox.

  • Yeah! Another video :)

  • Have 2 identical chess games ever been played on record?

  • @FJRodriguezMD Yes. e4 e5 Bc4 Nc6 Qh5 Nf6 Qxf7 #

  • @ChessNetwork

What do you mean? I googled that and came up with "Scholar's Mate". This is the only identical game sequence that has been played in two seperate recorded games?

  • @FJRodriguezMD No it's not the only. I gave you 1 example of a game being identical.

  • @ChessNetwork Oh okay, nice to know. I suppose experience means a world in chess. I'm just getting back into it, having stopped playing competitavely in the 4th grade. Your vids are SOOOO helpful! Thanks for spending the time making them!!

  • I like the intro.

  • @NumbFlynn Thanky Numby. :)

  • i'll have the honor to put the 1st like jerry :)

  • First

  • @ChessNetwork Aww man I was so sure I would get it this time :( Oh well ;p

  • @ChessNetwork Hahahaha

  • @ChessNetwork

    What if at 16:34...rook d1.

White queen is forced to take the black rook and the Black queen can then take the white pawn and bishop.

  • @xenekaro White Queen takes rook, if Black queen takes Bishop, WQ checks at d7, if Black queen takes pawn the bishop can be easily protected and black is just down a minor piece

  • @tehjoch

ah thanks. I had a brain fart and thought the black king was the white king hehe.

  • @ChessNetwork Hey CN, just a question, have you tried Chinese Chess before? if so, itd be super awesome if you post some vids of it, i enjoy both games and would like to see chinese chess games be commentated by you!

  • @tma579 I haven't played that really... maybe just once or twice.
