We need the arcade music version. The Nintendo had 1/3rd the number of active tones as the arcade machine so it really could reproduce the music. That' why the NES version sounds so flat

and better fruit comes out

also, blow tons of extra bubbles constantly, that adds to the points when you pop all the bubbles at once

My Gamecube was bought used. Then the stupid thing started giving me "Disc Read Errors." That ticked us off. It died, and only then did we find out the cause of the disc read errors--Action Replay. The previous owner had owned Action Replay and used it extensively, which causes disc read errors. Luckily, I now have a Wii and can play Cube games again. Oh, and if you want to play Bubble Bobble, get the Bubble Bobble/ Rainbow Islands 2-in-1 disc for PC. I have it and it pwns.
