This is how we used to fly on GTA IV.. the same technique, but we'd call it circling; for obvious reasons. Although having the buttons as they were on Xbox 360, you'd have to tap at the perfect moment to get the perfect circle/strafe. I once made a tutorial on it too.. can't remember which account though :/ i think '3styleproductionz' was it.. bad name ik. Anyway, that's also how i learnt how to fly in BF:BC, BF:BC2 and Operation Flashpoint: DR. :D Cool story bro? x_x

Calling BF3 , BF3 is an insult to the battlefield series imo, played the alpha for a couple of weeks and from what i saw (played) it seems more like COD meets BFBC2....

A shame really as i had really high hopes (for BF3) that they would get away from all this watered down crap :( (read - BFBC2)

@trolololololol0l I knew that BF3 looked bad. Based on what ive seen so far, they took BFbc2, and added jets it seems like, it doesn't look nor feel like a big open, freedom to roam, non-linear maps. Idk maybe with more maps/gameplay it might be better since alpha seems to be only one map. But so far i am not impressed with it either.

@quecardale cause based on how they made bfbc2, there will probably be similaritiest between the maps. Its an open illusion shit where they make you think its open, but its linear open. Like harvest day or the big one they last came out with on bfbc2. Its this fake open shit. Play Sharqi or Operation Road rage, thats open, not this shit they've been showing.

Too bad I found this after I had learned to master the chopper in bf2, people say my flying is good but they also say I suck because I don't seat switch to use the TV missiles to destroy helicopters. It's easy but I play with pride and I don't want to defy what flying a chopper is all about.

@AllOne95 It's very good, isn't it? However, I've not had much of a chance to chopper whore in it yet. The unlock system for vehicles is horribly punishing for new players -- I couldn't even stay in the air for 30 seconds because they don't even give you flares when you start. This is what is technically known as "Fucking bullshit".

I dont know how u do it but everything i tryed resulted in crash,i folowed instructions and again crash,crash,crash,and crash,i guess i need alot of practice but i never saw real tutorial for begginers that realy helps every tutorial on you tube is for advanced pilots who already know to fly but dont know all tricks,wich means tutorials are to simplified u do this and that ,and that doesnt help new pilot at all,new pilot need more details,just my opinion but then again am maybe wrong

I have a playstation's dual shock, pluged through a swich ps-usb to my pc, and it's just ideal for some games. I can't really imagine playing PESoccer using a keyboard, same goes for racing games. Those analog sticks are making a big diffirence in such games, but when it comes to FPS - mouse and keyboard are irreplaceable.

@ChrisBlues166224: There were still plenty of servers when I gave it a go after the 1.5 patch, but that was a fairly long time ago now. I'd imagine BC2 has taken a good chunk of the playerbase. There's only one way to find out... :)

@dhl9319 : I had a quick go on the beta of BC2 and I found the choppers are harder to funnel -- you can start a funnel but the chopper just starts to fall out of the sky. I haven't flown more than 5 minutes in BC2 so I can't give you a definite answer, though.

I know u say PRACTICE, I have but the chopper just doesn't seem to respond the same as on your vid.

I push and push to pitch down but it keeps pitching up, mouse all over the place moving loads but SLOW response!!! aagghhh!! Frustration!!!!

@V081WLBlue : relatively low sensitivity and no mouse acceleration. The rate of change of the chopper heavily depends on how it's moving in relation to the move you're going to make. E.g. if you put the nose down, fly forward for a bit and then try to turn the chopper into a funnel, it'll barely respond. If you let the nose rise up a little, then dip the nose and go into a funnel, it'll be very responsive. You just need to get a feel for what works via practicing :)

flying heli's is much much easier if you use a dual joystick setup w/one for pitch/roll/turn and the other for throttle. mouse is very hard to use.

That roll if you perfect it, It turns into a zero altitude roll. There good fun to do across water and scare your pilot.

You also didnt show when you circle and your gunner misses a person you can do a barrel roll and it will take you back a few metres in your circle. Its a cool trick.

heres a tip go onto your control pannel and put you mouse pointer on fast "full" and uncheck enchance pointer precision it will make your jet and helicopter turns much faster
