  • My hair broke off due to flat ironing everyday so I cut really short and it was growing really nice but I put weave in my hair for a show and it broke off :/ a lot of people say weave helps your hair grow and which is true in some way but then do you think its bad for you if your tryin to start your hair journey ? Do you think lace fronts helps grow your hair ? If box relaxers are bad what do you prefer ?

  • I wish your audio was louder. Your hair is absolutely gorgeous!

  • @natrlchallenge Thanks hun, so sorry about the video, my camera was really acting

    up:(

  • hey girl I was wondering if you cut your ends after relaxing it...I do want my hair to grow but I'm still hesitating. thanks

  • @cameroonbeauty4ever I don't normally trim after every relaxer probably like every 6 months. I baby my ends as much as possible so I don't have to trim too often.

  • very helpful also i hav relaxed hair 2

  • @morgandance2000 Thanks for watching hun xoxo

  • hey girl, great video! I'm from Portmore, where do you buy your castor oil? I can't find any anywhere!

  • @NejlaSimone Thanks hun, You can check the pharmacies or beauty supply stores in Portmore. Or if you past through halfway tree you can check the beauty supply stores like Cherrys, Sherell or Nicole's Beauty Supply Store, just ensure you ask for Eyl Castor Oil.

  • My hair keeps breaking and it doesnt retain moisture- u have any suggestions? :)

  • @kimspenda Do you do regular protein treatments, if so how often.

  • Hi, great video and beautiful hair! I have extremely dry, over-processed hair from years of relaxers, weaves, flat ironing etc. How often should I deep condition? What kind of relaxer should I use? Thank you!

  • @garnergy1 Thanks hun, I would suggest once a week also ensure to mix your deep conditioner with one or two natural oils, to add a more moisturizing effect.

  • @garnergy1 Thanks hun, I would suggest once a week also ensure to mix your deep conditioner with one or two natural oils, to add a more moisturizing effect.

  • @garnergy1 Thanks hun, I would suggest once a week also ensure to mix your deep conditioner with one or two natural oils, to add a more moisturizing effect.

  • wht type of relaxer you use ?

  • @passion3101 My favorite one is affirm fiberguard relaxer but recently I have been using Hawaiin Silky No-Base relaxer and works great too.

  • Nice long hair.

I love bacon and eggs for breakfast.

  • @Fsbren13 Thanks

  • @JamaicanAngelz1 You're welcome and you're a nice and sweet person.

  • @Fsbren13 Aww thanks hun;)

  • Great tips, but the audio was really low and hard to hear.

I would like to know more about how you dry your hair. My hair is thick and just getting long. I've kept in weaves and just cut it off whenever, but I think I wanna use my own hair now. It's APL in the back, a lot shorter in the front. I can't keep the blow dryer out of it. I don't know how to do a decent roller set.

  • @Victoriallah Sorry about the audio hun. I normally air dry my hair or do a rollerset. I will be doing a updated air dry video so look out for it in a weeks time.

  • I dont get relaxers any more but I definitely liked your tips

  • @hairaffiliated Thanks for watching hun:)

  • hii how often do you relax your hair? and since u use heat like prob one a month how do you get you hair so straight and keep it straight? :)

  • @brit4854 Normally between 8-12 weeks but I have recently done two 16 weeks stretch. I normally either rollerset and wrap my hair or air dry and wrap it and it comes out pretty straight.

  • @JamaicanAngelz1 thanx alot!!

  • kwl i love ur accent, its kinda of jamaican soo kwl reminds me of my mum!

  • @zeroxzaza Thanks hun:)

  • Great Tips, Thanks !!!

  • @NaturalHair2014 You are welcome hun;)

  • HI, I think being that your hair is shorter on one side than the other, you should cut it even so it can grow evenly! I think it would look 100% better. But overall your regimen is great.

  • @one2trynewthings Thanks for your suggestion however one side of my hair naturally grow faster than the other so even if I cut it always grow back the same exact way.

  • I'm mixed and my hair does. not. grow. So, ya.That Myth is all sorts of wrong :P

  • @BubbleGlam93 You hair does grow hun you are just not retaining length, you need to pay attention to moisturizing and sealing your ends so they don't break off.

  • I agree that you don't have to be mixed in order to have long hair, because my hair almost the same length as yours and I'm full Jamaican and have only 3-5 people in my family who are mixed.

  • @G3ekStAtus Yep you definitely don't hun, our hair just needs proper care.

  • Do u put NTM on ends and length of ur dry hair every-night before wrapping? And how often?

  • @edebnam7 Yes I do hun normally twice a day morning and night.

  • Congrats on your growth girl! I am literally about to start my own hair journey but I'm a little overwhelm by the volume of info out there. Is there anyway you could give me some directions as to where to start and what products to start with? P.S. I live in Portmore.

  • @NejlaSimone I know it can be very overwelming with so much information out there. I would suggest you get a good Shampoo like Cream of Nature Detangling Shampoo ( Green Bottle), Cream of Nature Nourishing Condition, Eyl Castor Oil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Organics Hair Mayo and a very good moisturizer like Neutrogena Triple Moisture silk touch leave-in cream.

  • @JamaicanAngelz1 Thank you so much for responding! I will definately try these and see how they work. Thanks a million!

  • Its me again begging for info. loool,i went down twon yesterday hunting down the CON's green bottle with yellow writing shampoo and not one wholesale that i went to had it. so you know right now im completely freaking out cuz my bottle is almost finish....i neeed HHHEELLP, where do you buy yours???????

  • @sugarjam6 Don't try buying it downtown hun they never know what you are talking about down there they are totally clueless. I normally buy mine in Pharmacies like York Pharmacy or beauty supply stores like Cherry's Beauty supplies, Nicole's or Sherells.

  • @JamaicanAngelz1 thanks alot hun,i will visit some of these places.

  • Looking back, i really thought my hair was short and couldn't grow, but when i look back at some pictures of me between 15 and 17, i realized how wrong i was.... only thing was that i had THICK hair and it was at my collarbone... Just cuz i've been through so many hair changes, i've never really developed a regimen but now i'm making the effort.... It feels a bit late but i'm at a point where i've tried every hairstyle, and i want to go to my GROWN WOMAN long thick hair now and just keep that...

  • @DjNiqz Keep motivated hun your hair can and will grow to any length you want it to:)

  • @JamaicanAngelz1 I'm keepin positive about it... only thing now is that one side is longer than the other... Trying to grow everything out by july so i can cut it evenly.... in addition, i made up my mind that i'm not gonna relax my hair till May, and the last time i did it was in November, so at first i was hot-combing and flat ironing every week, but i stopped that... haven't put any heat in my hair for a good 3 weeks now... Just decided that i'm not gonna use heat unless i REALLY need to..

  • Bwooiiii.. I started my journey last summer and did an asymmetric cut to start over with... its takin its time and growin back, cuz in my teenage years, i had THICK hair that was almost a PAIN to comb through.. Then i bobbed it at 18, bleached it, bobbed it again, colored it, then it was totally thin and falling out by 19, had it in braids, bobbed it again, cut it SHORT ( like Rihanna short), Had that style till i was 22, and was in and out of a weave till i was 23... I did it ALL with my hair..

  • Where did you buy your coconut oil missy? i live in JA. and i would love to get some.

  • @sugarjam6 I brought it at the supermarket hun, it's called Goshen Coconut Oil and you can find it at most supermarkets islandwide.

  • @JamaicanAngelz1 thank you hun.

  • wi accent caaaan hide lol

  • @divandria lol It definitely can't:)

  • what type of relaxer would you prefer?

  • @ronieshia My Favorite is Affirm Fiberguard Relaxer but lately I have been using Hawaiin Silky No-Base relaxer and it works just as good.

  • how often do you relax your hair?

  • @BeautyFetish Normally between 8-12 weeks however I have also been on a 16 weeks stretch twice.

  • Hi there, thank you so much for all your inspirational videos and tips on how to look after relaxed hair. I live in london and i have been on my healthy hair care journey for 2 years and because of your help my hair has reallyh reponded well to all the products that you have recommended and is growing very nicely. Thank you so much! xx

  • @MoniqueWilliams91 You are so welcome hun, I am so happy that my recommendations have helped you and I wish you continued sucess on your journey:)

  • love ur acsent

  • @EL3VISION Thanks hun:)

  • you are beautiful!

  • @cheyennearielx3 Aww thanks so much hun for the sweet comment:)

  • Can you do a video of your Hair Journey for us please?

  • @kimikojade I actually already did hun you can check for it, just search my videos for My Hair Journey May 2009-August 2011.

  • @JamaicanAngelz1 Ok tanx! i just now saw it and it was amazing! u've inspired me to take good care of my hair. my hair is really thin and it's armpit length now. I'm getting my ends cut this weekend bcuz i have alot of split ends. but congratulations on your hair journey. and btw, I'm from the Caribbean too.

  • Thanks for posting. I needed that encouragement.

  • @nev1984 You're welcome hun, thanks for watching

  • i think its important to wrap it also.

  • @LynnxHearts Yes it definitely is hun

  • Comment removed

  • how much u paid for the jamaican black castor oil plz reply

  • @azkg1 Are you in Jamaica or the US. In Jamaica I get a big bottle for about $950 and in the states you can get a bottle for about US$10.

  • How would you keep your roots and hair straight with no heat for two months... Do you use heat protective styles until your next relaxer?

  • @hajahnajah I normally air dry, do a rollerset and then wrap my hair or I do a braid-out. I rarely use heat probably once every two months or only when I relax.

  • Hey do u still any neutrogena triple moisture leave-in cream u'd like to sell?

  • @MizAsiaNikole No I don't at the moment but I should be getting some by the end of january

  • Am really really happy and excited for you thanks so much for the tips ^_^

  • @ataijay You're welcome hun, thanks for watching xoxo

  • mineral oil & petrolitum ARE bad for you SCALP but if you want to use it on JUST your ends, it works great at keeping in the moisture

  • Your accent!!! I LOOOVE itttttttt

  • @AmourParisien Thanks hun:)

  • Thank you!

  • Thanks for tips! I live in FL and every castor oil I've tired its clear not black like the one my mom use on me as a child. My family is jamaican so I know about black castor oil just can't find it here.

  • @cnm42004 You can find black castor oil online hun. You can find it at sams247.com or amazon.com:)

  • can you also tell me what shampoo and condition you use

and how daily i should use the Neutrogena triple moisture silk touch leave-in cream and castor oil

  • @PURPLEBUTTERFLY671 The shampoo I use is Cream of Nature Detangling Shampoo(Old Formula) and Cream of Nature Nourishing Conditioner (Old Formula), I normally wash every week. Your shoukd moisturize and seal every day.

  • my hair is really really short and very dry no matter how much i grease it and when im at skool they say my hair looks nasty........i feel terrible and i dont know where to start from plzz help me ( i am at high skool)

  • @PURPLEBUTTERFLY671 Firstly hun you need to stop greasing your scalp, it doesn't moisturize your hair, it has mineral oil in it that does nothing but clog yours pores. Therefore your scalp is unable to breathe, I would suggest you instead invest in a water based moisturizer like Neutrogena triple moisture silk touch leave-in cream and a good natural oil like Extra Virgin Olive oil to seal. Please check out my Updated Hair Regimen Video for tips.

  • @JamaicanAngelz1 thank you so much

i will try to use your tips

  • @PURPLEBUTTERFLY671 try a cute pixie cut, doll! & don't use ANYTHING u find in the beauty store! Grease does NOT = moisture! Go to the supermarket & get pure coconut oil. AGAIN, NOT FROM THE BEAUTY SUPPLE STORE!!! It comes in a jar.Coconut oil penetrates the hair shaft easily. While all that other crap sit heavily on the hair coconut oil goes deeper in the hair to nourish it.Its also antibacterial & anti-dandruff.Sleep w/ a satin like pillow case & Wash your hair often.

  • Hey can you plzzzzzzzzzz do a tutorial on how you use the s-curl on your relax hair?

  • @sugarjam6 Yep hun I could or you could check out my How I moisturize and seal video I used Wave Nouveau to moisturize in that video and it's a very similar product to s'curl.

  • i'll admit it, everytime i saw someone blk with long hair, i always thought they HAD to be some other race in them. but now i see that u just have to be patient and take care of your hair.

  • @Lust4Me10 Yep hun just be consistent and your hair will grow:)

  • Im gonna try and do all of these and see what the result is. Oh and by the way im jamaican too, and ive always see jamican people talk about jamican black castor oil works really good and their hair usually is really long like yours. Oh and by the way did i mention how i love how long and beautiful your hair looks. :)

  • @ChannelTheGreat JBCO is the bomb, I am sure you will get great results from using it. Thanks so much for watching:)

  • wow, ur hair is so lovely! how often do you trim?

  • @nomz288 Thanks hun, I actually don't trim that often probably like every 6 months or so. I however dust my ends in between relaxers.

  • ur really pretty i have neck length hair almost to my shoulders, it in braids now do u knoe what i could put in my braids to help my real hair grow

  • @allsmilesandbubbles Thanks for the compliment hun :), You can try oiling your scalp with Jamaican Black Castor Oil. It helps to promote growth and thickens up your hair.

  • so my hair is neck length almost to my shoulder i'm trying to get it a little past my shoulder its hard cause i've never had long hair before but i'm trying still lol also I try to stretch the length of time I get my hair relaxed oh n i'm Jamaican too :)

  • @divalisciousren Big up to you my fellow Jamaican sister, good look on your journey, just keep motivated:)

  • I love that you said don't jump on the bandwagon of others! That is was so many are doing now with going natural. My hair has always been able to remain healthy and grow with relaxers b/c I've found what works for me. I haven't gotten a length up to yours yet but that's what I'm working on now.

  • @xXNaijaPrincessXx It's definitely inportant to do what works for you and not follow others, good luck on your journey:)

  • Your Very Pretty ! :D You Remind Me Of Nicki Minaj : )

  • @HERSHEYSandCHRIS Thanks for the compliment hun:)

  • @HERSHEYSandCHRIS Eww She Look Way Better Than Niki . & Her Hair Is Better (:

  • @KimKIMMYPossible Lol thanks for the compliment hun:)

  • i understand that you air dry your hair...how can you do that without having really bad tangled hair. cause i attempt to air dry twice, ang girl my hair got so tangled i couldnt get a comb through :/ and ended up breaking my hair forcing the comb through

  • @sabengkah It has to do with your technique and the kind of products you air dry with. What products do you use?

  • @JamaicanAngelz1

    i didnt use any.

  • @sabengkah Well that is the problem hun, you have to use a leave-in conditioner and moisturizer to tame your hair as it air dry.

  • @JamaicanAngelz1

okay that makes since...thank you :)

  • if you only use heat every two months, how often do you wash your hair? Do yoou air dry it?

  • @dodo42680 I wash once per week, I normally airdry, do a rollerset or do a braid-out.

  • i love your hair, i'm from the Caribbean too and i think our climate is even harsher on our hair, so do u relax your hair yourself r do u go to a saloon??

  • @TheBeloved1one Yep the climate can definitely be, No I don't go the salon, my cousin who is a hair stylist does my hair at home.

  • Ok what are the alternatives to relaxer box kits?

  • @chepneveah Lye Relaxers like Affirm Fiberguard:)

  • How long did it taked for you to grow your hair that long?

  • @Kimsalley21 At this length about 2 years, I started from neck length.

  • very pretty hair :)

  • @AsiaNecole123 Thanks hun:)

  • r u jamaican cause thats not american no offence my moms jamaican u gootta speak up though

  • @MsAsh4444 Yep I am Jamaican:)

  • Ive made it past the hardest part collor bone length about a month ago yaaaa me ..I want to be apl by may of next year my hair grows at about 3/4 of a inch a month is this a realistic goal ?

  • @asiajross That's pretty realistic, just ensure you keep motivated and stick to your regimen

  • i use olive oil relaxer. is that bad?

  • @FlozzyFlo I have never used it so I cannot speak on it's effectiveness. However Affirm Fiber Guard is a very good relaxer to use.

  • Does you use heat to deep condition your hair.

  • @Kimsalley21 Nope I don't, I just let the conditioner sit in my hair for 1 hour.

  • @tashareece Extra virgin olive oil is very good, It's doesn't clog pores as it's a natural oil, so it is very beneficial to relaxed hair.

  • MY MOTHER HAIR WAS PAST THE MIDDLE OF HER BACK NOW IT'S A LIL PAST HER SHOULDERS BCUZ SHE PUT COLOR STREAKS IN IT ....IM GETTING A PERM THIS YEAR AND IM REALLY NERVOUS BCUZ I HEAR SO MANY DIFFERENT REGIMENS AND ESPECIALLY AFTER WAT HAPPEN TO MY MOM.....BUT THIS WAS VERY HELPFUL

  • @mzjuicycouturexoxo Don't be scared hun, as long as you take care of you hair you will be fine:)

  • @JamaicanAngelz1 kk thanxx <3

  • Comment removed

  • I hate watching hair videos cause they always play with haired... Lmao

  • @kittyiwuvvy lol so true

  • Yay Im not the only German/Jamaican out there Lml :)

  • true....u dont have to be mixed to have long hair

  • Thank you for talking about the "mixed hair" myth! I think people are afraid to talk about it. I'm 100% african (my parents from Ivory Coast). Even there, they were taught that myth and my mother passed it on to me. Then I realized that even some of my mixed friends, or light skinned friends had trouble with their hair too. I can say that girls who are directly mixed might have easier hair to deal with but it's not ALWAYS the case. We shouldn't put ourselves down because of our skin color!

  • @sarahbelle988 You better preach hun, so true.

  • Your natural hair looks lovely.

  • @newchick10 Thanks much:)

  • Oh OK. I maybe misunderstood. I'm glad of that because so many of our black sisters think that you have to be "mixed" to have good hair or long hair which is not the case. Its all in how you care for your hair and the maintenance. Also long hair don't always constitute good hair or healthy hair, but that is the misconception that most have.

  • @MsWoo1985 That is exactly what I was letting everyone know that all black women can grow long healthy relaxed hair. You just have to take care of your hair:)

  • So your saying bc your dad has white in his family...that's why you can grow your hair long? Don't think that has anything to do with it.

  • @MsWoo1985 Nope I am not saying that, What I said was I had friends who had mention that to me however I don't think it has anything to do with my hair getting to the length it has. Getting my hair long and healthy is as a result of me coming up with a good regimen and sticking with it.

  • I enjoyed your vid, to much weave in Jamaica nice to see some long hair xx

  • @pincurled lol so true about the weave, Thanks hun:)

  • i do believe relaxed hair can grow long but im choosing to transition simply because im sick of going through the routine of doing all this stuff before a relaxer and the maintance.

  • How do you keep your hair straight if you only put heat once a month? How often do you wash your hair? How often should you deep condition?

  • @shavonaford I normally rollerset and wrap my hair to get it straight or I airdry and wrap it and it pretty much stay straight. I wash my hair once per week. I also deep condition once per week.

  • I love your length and your hair looks very healthy and full of life:)

  • @mizzluvthehair Thanks hun:0

  • GOOD JOB I remember when you were barely below SL. This is so refreshing.

  • @brownnbubblie Thanks hun, I remember too, my hair has defintely come a long way

  • The JBCO why it makes my hair shed so bad. everyone else hair loves JBCO

  • @Kimsalley21 It actually makes makes my hair shed as well, You just have to find ways to combat the shedding, like doing Black tea rinses ( my hair personally don't like these) or mixing garlic with oil appling it to you hair and letting it sit so your hair can absorb it. Garlic is proven to help stop ot slow down shedding.

  • When you deep condition do you used heat? Why cant my hair use JBCO my hair shed so bad and the JBCO supposed to thicking hair also.

  • When you deep condition do you used heat?

  • @Kimsalley21 Nope I don't use heat, I let the conditioner stay in my hair for a hour or two and then rinse it out.

  • Hello Patra-Marie, I'm loving ur channel and all the tips U share on how to grow long hair. I am on a Healthy hair journey & U inspire me! Stay beautiful.
