I gotta share something. what this man says is 100% correct. I remember when I had what the scholars call the "sweetness of Iman", i COULD not care LESS about EVERYTHING else apart from the worshipping and pleasing Allah. it was an AMAZING feeling.
i am not lying, this feeling was second to NONE ! I was IMMENSELY happy and joyous. and at that stage I was unemployed and ppl were like "dude ur dont even have a job !? what r u so happy about?".

The speaker makes many good points in this presentation - and it has completely changed my negative impression of Islam.

All people have highs and lows in their life, whether religious or not. And frankly, we're supposed to feel bad every now and then. Our job is to properly assign when we feel happy or sad to healthy, appropriate situations.
Feelings should motivate you to take care of yourself and others. You will feel unsatisfied at times, but that's life. It what gets you moving.
But don't think you can look at the unhappiness of others and think you dodged a bullet by being religious.

There is nothing wrong with Coke. He is using it as an analogy, to bring down and simplify a complicated, abstract idea. Coca Cola symbolizes the American culture, a culture of materialism and consumerism. To be happy, you should eat, drink, wear and do whatever you feel like doing.

Your abode in Saudi Arabia might be the factor why you don't see this as me. You are blessed living in SA, but we have to live with factors in society which they willingly put there to misguide and to destroy religion. I wake up everyday and when I watch the commercial on the bus, TV, streets, T-shirts, it says "Do as thou wilth" subliminaly. When all in the society are put into this deceivng sircle, we have youth coming inbetween. Should I choose Islam, or Consumerism?

That is of course the best advice, and for me that advice I have used my 16 old life. But I am concerned for other muslims, living as hypocrites by heart and muslims by mouth...and Raheem Green is trying to help those lost muslims...

Thank you! The Coca Cola is nothing wrong! But it is an anology! Cola makes you feel happy "falsely", as does the society. He is trying to make it simple to understand. But Cola itself is not haram at all! Muslims can drink cola, other than that its a honnor communicating with muslims. God bless you and your family, peace upon you and may allah exalt you mention!

the reason is, that the koran was written more than 100 yrs. after muhammad died, -
it is a collection of bits and pieces compiled from 9 different korans...

majority of tv shows and magazines have bad images, and create negative image for people, usually i read only the newspapers, and TV.
some muslims actually say tv is haram, but after thorough research and logical thought, i have concluded that living in a society today, we must one way or another watch tv.

i am not 100% sure if it is or not stated in the Qur'an wether tv is fobbien BUT I know for sure that ALLAH told us muslims NOT TO show off out body not to worship anything or anyone other than ALLAH, HE told us not to teach and do harm to others. out prophet told us NOT TO LIE, STEAL,MAKE VIOLENCE AND SHOW AFFECTION IN PUBLIC.
