i am part irish myself and i say enough oppression free ireland not divided among petty rivalries between catholics and protestants my mom is protestant and me and my dad catholic! we do not have any problems! if someone from eire or ulster sees this you are IRISH FIRST!!!!!!! FREE IRELAND!!!!!!!!
@coxenherrerajames19 spoke by a yank. Clearly te fact that there is not only an Irish regiment in the army but an Irish regiment of foot guards demonstrates that there are more than one version of Irishness.
@coxenherrerajames19 You give back to the native Americans the stolen lands you live on now in the US, then give back Arizona, New Mexico and California plus Texas to the brown Mexicans from whom white Americans stole it from and we (the British) will give back all the so called stolen lands in Ireland back to the Irish. That seems a fair deal...and we won’t mention the bail out money given by the nasty & horrible British government/nation to the Irish government/nation...
the republic of ireland has been free for nearly 100 years, it has its own flag, army and goverment, britain in no way shape or form exercises any power over it
@GuyPennebaker From a South African. Well it took your lot long enough to free the Blacks. Bloody Hyprocrite. "A proud Afrikanner." Was this when your lot were killing innocent Blacks? Free Ireland my arse. I think there are about 1 Million Unionist in Ulster who would disagree with you. But of course you dont believe in Self-determination. Only keeping thise ones who are "beneath" you under your heel!
@gmcclelland1992 um whos burning right now i think england i dont see south africa on fire and you got your asses wooped stop hiding all your defeats making excuses about them your always making excuses so when you have the balls to admit wars lost then talk to me
@gmcclelland1992 and i always keep the english under my heel why should i care about them why should i show compashion towards them hell i dont care if i see one dying ill smile and wave and this may not affect you because its true all english have no consiounce what so ever so i hope you know you created the first concentration camps and starved women and children to death while the boers the real men were fighting for their land that england (big shocker here) was stealing
@GuyPennebaker everyone stole land at one point or another. The English from the Boers, but the Boers from the natives, and so on in other parts of the world. Realistically all empires or expanding nations are as bad as each other, it's just that some are better thieves.
@WorstOfBritish this is very true empires did steal land but yes there were some that were better thieves like here the british were better thieves and the germans were better at winning per say the hearts and minds of people thats why they had so little rebellions
@gmcclelland1992 i mean its ok you tried you lost now get over it you may still have colonies but i mean really canada oh im so scared of them who would want a country that takes ham slices and calls it bacon -_-
@gmcclelland1992 not sure those blacks were so innocent all of the time. their culture was based off of complete sexism and superiority complexes. when they raided boer farms, they would rape the youngest girls first to show how manly they were to their friends
@mackshayster It was still their culture. And you didnt do anything anyway to try and change it. Instead you seperated yourself from the problems and let them languish in poverty, whilst you were living the high life. No wonder they raided the Boer farms, when they are poor and the Boers are wealthy.
@Boru002 Being an Irish patriot I recognise the service many Irish people have made and continue to make in the armed forces of countries all over the world. From the Wild Geese to the Irish Guards, Irish Troops have done their home country a great service through pride in their military service. Such a generalised statement like yours highlights a very selective historical narrative.
Many Irishmen from both the Republic (Eire) and Northern Ireland serve in HM Armed Services to this day, and have done for many centuries.
The Irish Guards recruit principally from the North, but many from Eire also join this regiment, as well as other regiments of the Army, as well as the Royal Navy and the RAF.

The march is the "Garry Owen" at the start, the march of the best of the best of the U..S. Army..........the First Cavalry Division.
vanbock 11 months ago
@vanbock Actually, Garryowen is different. It's a traditional Irish song, and it's not this.

I know this from personal experience.

Not too much Irish about these redcoats
Boru002 1 year ago
Nothing, except for the fact that many or most of them are Irish!
Kampfer1445 1 year ago
@Boru002 erm aside being irish? would you rather they dressing in green bowler hats and carried pints instead of rifles?
