    Deine Heike

  • THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL.....!!!

  • Being 36, and STILL having my GRANDMOTHER, I feel this song, DEEPER than I ever have.

  • they shoud have still complete a capella

  • I disagree with every dislike comment in here....I enjoyed it....I like Bill Withers version also..because its the original..can't beat that..but this was good too

  • I'm glad they said Sabbath morning.

  • what they don't like , those 11...? it's just funny !

  • this is a Bill Withers original! you better recognise!

  • love ron kenoly

  • I actually like this version of the song. Good job T6

  • Now that didn't quite work, did it. What a noisy mess they made of this gem of a song. Gil Scott Heron's version of it is beautiful (on his album 'Reflections').

  • Don't think the band could have picked a lead singer with a more annoying style\voice.

  • too fast !

  • The tempo is too fast! All the doo-wop sort of loses the blues/gospel influence in it, and buries the words.

  • Too much harmonizing. I was really feeling this song until they added all of that. I know that's what they'll known for but it really destroyed the blues feeling that is normally portrayed in the original.

  • Yeah, I know the original but this was not such a bad take at all. Just goes to show that you shouldn't judge a piece of work by what folks say. Different folks, different tastes. Good job, Take 6!

  • I generally like the harmonious sounds of the Take 6 group, but this is not one of those times. This is a song best left alone. The original Bill Withers and Gladys (Knight) maybe a few others did a wonderful job, but this is overdone and destroys the song's emotional integrity. I will gladly wait for the rest of Take6's stellar repertoire.

  • How wonderful this is, a real Christian group at the top of His game plan. They truly love Jesus. I love this Bill Withers song.

  • This a beautiful, fresh rendion of a classic favorite, and a reminder that todays young people need their 'old people' more than ever.

  • I think y'all wore grandma's hands out with this song. Better to have stopped at the end the FIRST time and let it rest. Sry, but I found this particular performance a tad disappointing.

  • Bill Withers' version really gets to me, this didn't have the same effect.

  • never ever do that again to bill withers beautiful song.....so disrespectful.......SMH!!!!!!!

  • In my opinion yall shouldnt have changed the song.... but, ok!

  • im sorry, but that was truly disrespectful, murkin a legendary joint by a legend, Bill withers. I think yall owe the world an apology, lol. fa real.

  • I love my Grandma

  • You are having a laugh! Rather than thanking everyman and his dog they should put some effort in writing their own songs and leave beautiful songs like this alone!

  • seems a bit self indulgent if you ask me - great musicians though...

  • grandma's hands

  • this is not a song for some catchy bassline driven uptempo beat. you should be ashamed.

  • I just watchewd Bill Withers original version--this is NOTHING. Bil lWithers was DA SHXT

  • love it!

  • felt like too much hype was crammed into such a delecate original song, but it still sounded good.

  • take 6, lovely.

  • This is wicked.

  • imagine hanging with marcus miller and singing in a amazin accapella group. imagine that...

  • I like´em both, maybe prefer the original more, but this one is good.

  • God put something special in grandma's hands that no one else has... Praise God for grandmas and the privilege to have had one to love. See you in Heaven one day, Grandma.

  • The CD version is a bit more soulful...even though its upbeat...

They are trying to make it more fun for the audience because Take 6 live performances are all about having a good time. They are silly and a bit goofy...but it encourages u to clap along and have fun

Die Hard Take 6 fan! I saw them in Gainsville. Talented.

  • Hey, dude. Bill Wither's original version to the song is definetly the best. By the by these guys have some serious influence from Bobby McFerrin. If you like this you should check out some his tunes.

  • Best version of the song... great remake ! CD version is cleaner of course but I love the live improv and such )

  • I know to each their own, but I loved this. They rocked it!!!

  • should of left it the way it was

  • i like take 6,

    i love marcus miller,

    but this is whaked!

  • Love ya, Joey!

  • I prefer the original.

    Sorry.

  • Me too. They're very talented, but this is not one of their best renditions, too noisy.

  • This is the 1st x I have ever heard of take 6.

    What a WONDERFUL, TALENTED Group!

    Thank-You for the post.

    Wage Peace

  • God bless Grandma...man that woman is awesome!

  • I like their remake.

  • I like this verison take 6 always brings something fresh and new when they redo a song

  • Thanks Take 6 for your music, and Joey...your are fantastic...God bless you

  • I went to one of their live performances and I cried...:) it was just sooooooooo beautiful;|

  • WONDERFULLLLLLLLlllllllllllllll! Grana Ma 's hand on Sabbath Morning....

  • Grandma say Hush Up allat Noize!

Cainchu see Ise tryna Rest In PEACE!

    LOL!

  • This was pretty good of the remake of this song. Takesix is my favorite group. I really enjoy all of their music. May God continue to bless them richly and everyone who enjoyed it as well.

  • They have taken out the soul of the song.

It's warm, dark, melacholic, kind of sad song.

A great preformance. but they missed the clue of this song completly.

  • nice twist and i love Take 6.

I still prefer this song stripped down though

  • I'm sure by doing this song they were giving honour to Bill Withers, I don't think they are a group that would be taking credit for other artist's song. They added there own twist to it anyway with their A Capella style of arrangement and singing.

  • why is everyone acting like this theift buisness is something unheard of I just listened to different renditions of God's gonna cut you down my Odetta and everyone is giving Johnny Cash the credit

  • this is pure bullshit and theft. The can't steal Bill withers song.... they switched out billie for Joey.

  • Many people change the name in the song, I don't think they were trying to steal the song

  • YOUR AN IDIOT!

  • wow they can also play guitars??

  • yeah and piano, etc

  • They didnt steal it, they got rights to re-do it in their version... just like most inspirational songs.

  • I love Take 6. I would have liked if in the intro they honored Bill. It Takes 6 to sing One Bill. The soulfulness is in Bill's Version. You could hear him singin to granmama.

  • I agree. They should have mentioned him at least.

  • fantastic! whoa!

  • a bit smug, polished & corporate for my taste, but talented guys

  • brilliant !

  • the real version is of Bill Withers.

  • LOL no way! Someone said that this is better than Sir Tom Jones Version, oh my god..

This is not better at all... Cant see this whit feeling and soul, like Tom has... He is The Voice :)

  • Bullshit!! The one and ONLY version is Mr. Bill Withers thank you very much!!

  • well, it certainly ain't the *only* version—let's not forget gil scott-heron!

  • who is that?

  • I saw these guys at Yoshi's and this was their encore. Wow...

  • This is a really good remake.

  • wow soulful

  • "Grandma's hands

Clapped in church on Sabbath morning

    Grandma's hands

    Played a tambourine so well..."

    Brilliant!

  • Yeahhhhhhhhh! amazing

  • I've got this CD and it is one of my all time favorites. Take 6 is musical excellence personified. My college professor cited them & another classical a cappella group as one of the best for complex harmonies and perfect pitch.

  • The King's Singers? Was that the other group?

  • amazing music ....

  • Superb rendition, guys. God is Blessing, don't forget!

Frm your old acquaintance and church bro. from Nottingham, England. Check out my page under Dougitoons

  • take six did a good job But it is not as good as Bill Withers

  • They were having some church!!

  • I don't think you can beat the original by Bill Withers. this is also good, a bit cluttered in parts

  • This song is awesome reminds me of my grandma which she just passed away August 24th of 2006 I miss her so much but know she is in a better place.God Bless You .Glenda From Bloomington IL.

  • Amazing

  • Their CD's are great, but until you see them live... It's truly an experience..

If you have a chance to see them... GO!

  • Oh boy...they done it again. Totally speechless

  • These guys are ridiculous!!

  • dis is gd. god bless

  • Man...I wonder what the singing in heaven will be like.

  • Absolutely briliant! These guys are baaaaaaaad

  • what a bounce and Joey`s singing & playing guitar :D i`m lovin` it :)
