Yes, the point is to steal the show. There are plenty of 15yr old kids that do what your saying, Any hack can go up there and stick a simple beat for 4 minutes. This kid is doing alright

While I agree with you, do you know how many people can go off on their own beat and "overplay?" I think part of posting videos on youtube is to get attention so that possibly you might go on to be a professional drummer. If you only show that this is how you play, this is how people will think you play.

Part of the excitement of playing is in the fills, but there has to be some control, wouldn't you agree?

You obviously can do fills all day, so this isn't a "you can't play drums" bash, or a bash at all. I want to suggest that you maybe... use less fills. Your role as the drummer is to make beats, but not try to steal the spotlight. Also, just looking at your playing alone, I could'nt really tell where the chorus began or where the verse was. It was unstructured like music from the band "Hella."
