They are plugged into my home stereo aux. Get a sound card that has low latency and alot of gain. The sound card i'm using now is the Presonus Firebox. It has firewire connection instead of usb.

ok, im just having a problem connecting all the cables then. so i plug dj io into laptop with usb obviously, but then do i plug rcas from mixer to dj io? is so what into which output 1 or 2? do i still need to put something into my line in connection on pc or will it record through the usb cable?

I'm recording it through Traktor. Then when editing the film i lined the sound from Traktor onto the clip instead of using the crappy mic on the camera.

sound card od djio allows u to her the Left track as the right is played threw the speakers or vise vursa proper invetment for quility mix. also total control is great for beginers i have one my selfs and i started not to long ago

It's a DJ|iO from Numark. What it does is it lets you cue sound in your headphones while the master is playing the output. Two outputs on one soundcard...

hey i was thinking about buying the total control but someone told me it doesnt have headphone jack built in or soundcard. they tolled me that i need the dj io to get my headphones working is that ture? by the way nice mix! i like the song selection

Yes you need a soundcard with two external outputs. The DJ|iO works ok for the task. That is what I use as you can see.

I just bought one a couple of months ago, and it comes with the USB cable and two sofware CDs; Numark CUE LE and Trakter 3 LE, both mixing sofware. And I wnat to add that the Total Control is a very good product. Mixing is now easier from your PC and you dont need anything else but a good sound system from your PC and BOOM! Mixing in no time. I love it! Greetings to all the DJs out there. Theres nothing like live mixing!
