As an frequent Enterprise customer I would like to know why Taylor requires his male customer service employees to wear white shirts and neckties instead of just a casual tee shirt with the company logo. Does he think all of his customers are social conservatives with 19th Century dress code values? The employees don't like that "uniform" and neither do I.
I also worked for them for 1 year was a service agent, Loved the job i did cleaning cars an Driving what i did not like Branch mangers an Asst managers an mangers in training thought they was better then you. you be out in a Hot wash bay sweating your but off an get told to pick up someone Then customer in return says your driver smelled really bad an then in return you get wrote up for it. Branch manger came in. Knew from the first time i seen him know he was going to be Uptight A** hole
Haha!! Left this company and happy as can be. Don't work for ERAC if you don't have too. Long hours, low pay, crappy customers. Kissin bootah to dealerships and bodyshops all day. I think what gets me the most is the hiring of college grads. Really this is bonehead labor. disguising it as "management trainee" is bogus. Hundreds of better companies out there to work for. Just dig deep and find them. The reason they hire degree holders is because the average college student is conditioned to
Hey everyone, let's complain and cry about working long hours and being competitive for money. Let's complain that life isn't easy. Face it, no matter what you e-thugs and internet trolls say, customers walk into every Enterprise branch every day, or whichever company or business you plan on bashing next.
This Avis rep is getting customers from your rental branches because your cars are 3 years old with very very very high milege and disgusting interiors
ive been with the company 3 1/2 years and im targeted to make alittle over $80,000 as a branch manager. Yes its hard work, yes its long hours, but if your competitve and strive to dominate every aspect of the business, you will get rewarded. People complaining and who quite, obviously Enerprise wasnt for you. But show me a career thats easy and shows limitless potential in growth in every aspect of the word.
@scn4rd1 $80k is not a lot of money, man. I left ERAC 2 years ago as an MA and now make $150k. I work 40 hours a week and talk to my manager once a month and see him maybe a few times a year. Dude "yes it's hard work, yes it's long hours, blah blah blah." When you quit Enterprise one day and look back, you'll see that line your spilling out is a script every ERAC employee says to justify working an insignificant job where his manager will easily look to replace him (or send him to car sales)
@scn4rd1 I was with ERAC for almost 6 years, was a very successful Branch Manager, well liked in the company, and had Area Manager title in my near future. The statement of limitless potential in growth is a joke. Branches are now so close to eachother, and the market is so saturated that offices are canibalizing eachother, and it's a rareity these days for someone to be able to take an 80 branch and grow it into a 300 car branch like you could in the 80s and 90s. ERAC doesn't care.
I'll say it again...low pay..no breaks..no raised...i only enjoy messing up ur cars Andy...burn the shit out of them and then u guys take it to the shop...then again i turn on the check engine light on for u..next the airbag...then u get to buy new tires..then a crack windshield...so on...
I work for a different Rental Car Company in Denver Airport. You wont believe how many, Enterprise customers, I get on my bus, because they get tired of waiting for an Enterprise bus. Enterprise sucks
what a load of BS here to help and listen to the front lines(lol)thats right i love to work till midnight for peanuts,YOU REALLY are out of touch......i work for this company and hope it goes down the pan big time......ill be there to help pull the flush
Worked for Enterprise in Germany (Frankfurt am Main) for 2 years from 2000-2002 and learned pretty much everything how to run a business. Later I studied International Management in Germany and England and had countless déjà vues. I got my 50-60h/week while getting payed 48h. So what !! Compared to the priceless Know-How I obtained that's peanuts. Lots of Human Resource Managers in Germany appreciate an "Enterprise Heritage" in one's CV.
I currently work at enterprise and agree they overwork their employees and underpay them. But how many of you feel the same about your own company. I have no desire to work for them long term but am glad to have a stable job during such a horrible economy.
You lazy haters are the reason that our generation is not going to fix the problems that our country faces. Hard work comes first and then money second
Hey Andy thanks for NOT giving me a raise this year. After 5 years of working for you.I sure don't want you to take a couple cents away from your 9 Billions dollars.
I love the HATRED shown here by people who once worked for Enterprise and still haven't moved on. If it's not for you, it's not fucking for you.
Jesus, in 2 years, you'll probably leave the company you're with now. Why? People always end up finding out how much their bosses make at their expense. The only way to beat it is to start a company, expand it with a little luck and hard work, then shit on your own staff years later. By then, you won't give a fuck what past employees like you think.
Businesses like ERAC is whar starts up Communist Revolutions. This is the ugly element of Capitalism when a few make all the revenue and the rest slave away to squeak out a living.
You guys gotta quit complaining. Working a job means that you're a labor slave. Only way for your boss to make money is to buy you wholesale and sell you retail. Thats how it works. If you dont like the idea of your boss making money off of you then you should start a business or be self employed! :)
It doesn't have to be the way that Enterprise treats their employees. It is like Elementary School. Every employer should make more money on its employees than they bring in. Exploiting young College Graduates is another story.
I remember the ERAC Christmas party I went to. We had to eat our meal all the way through some awful video presentation of Andy Taylor at full volume!! to say it was cheesey is an understatement-I was nearly sick!!! so glad I no longer work for this shit company
Today, I reserved a car. I was told the car was ready to go, but there was no one available to pick me up for that vehicle until after 1p.m. I could not wait the extra time so I walked to the location to get the car. AFTER I arrived I was told that not only was the car not ready, it was not even there. Last time they did this to me missed a conference, this time I missed my grandmother's funeral.
At all and any cost Enterprise rental should be avoided!!!
Amen to that. I worked at Enterprise for a summer and it sucked ass so bad. It had to be the worst place I ever worked at. They screw their customers all the time and try to get as much money as possible out of them.
Enterprise Rent-A-Car had not caught Hertz and Avis in the airport. They have made gains but they are not level with them. Also, Hertz is making gains in the neighborhood market. Donny Dousche needs to do his research.

I have been with Enterpise Rent A Car for three years and currently hold the position of Branch Manager. Yes, this job is not for everyone. In order to succeed you must have three qualities. 1) Perform above average 2) Be willing to move to where the promotion is available 3) Stay focused on the long term benefits the company has to offer. Enterprise is a great company to work for if you are willing to do the three things mentioned above. Good Luck :-)
Enterprise rental is a horrible company. You should be ashamed to even work for them. Just admitting you work there means you must be an idiot! Your customer service is crap!
1) Perform above average my asshole!
2) Be able to bend over your customers and rub sand in the crack.
3) Stay focused on long term screwing over your customers!
It's okay though because your lousy, stinking, rotten customer service department can offer up hollow apologies later.
In all seriousness. I can't believe anyone would put their real address on you tube, but if you like to schedule an ass kicking I'm up for it. If you decide to stop living in your mom's basement let me know.
Does anyone get the zip code? 3M TA3...think about it.
Enterprise specializes in hiring recent college-graduates who are looking for a job. Then in about 2 years, these kids working 50+ hrs a week....for peanuts, end up quitting and then they are replaced by new college graduates...who don't know any better.
I worked for ERAC for over 3 years and couldn't agree more with you Simmons3d. They sell you this dream of working hard and getting promoted and making all this money and then once you are invested in it you realize that you are killing yourself to get promoted and never make what you should.
A couple college friends have the exact same story to tell. The company specializes in hiring kids fresh out of college. Then in about 2 years, these young adults....working for Enterprise for 50+ hrs a week and peanuts, get make their exits. They are replaced with new college graduates (who don't know any better).
One of the worst place to work in America. The only reason they got on that list was the employees are so afraid of big brother they will say good things out of fear. Nobody who has left the company has anything good to say about it. They sell young grads a dream that turns out to be nothing more than smoke and mirrors. Kind of like the Amway of car rentals.
Andy is clueless in regards to the way his employees are treated. He didn't create a business model, he is just poorly maintaining his fathers ideals. I was hoping Donnie would have mentioned why turnover was such a huge issue with his supposed "100 Best Companies to Work For"
You're right. Anyone who can run their company like a huge Ponzi scheme, doing little to raise employee morale, little to improve the problematic high turnover rate, contribute to the global warming problems of this country buy putting more money into huge, gas guzzling SUV's and trucks and not into hybrids, do all this, and not get caught, well hey!!! They must be doing something right!!! The Innovator MY ASS!
Being a large company and making a lot of money doesn't in itself make enterprise a good company. The ideals of the company are so screwed up and they treat their employees like crap. I actually worked there and would never entertain the idea of going back.
I also worked for ERAC. For nearly three years. Come on, you need to give it some credit! You learn loads! and most of all you learn what a bad company really is! I miss the people i worked with but not the company or a certian city manager!
