Kahn was able to trick Onaga and retake his throne just as he did when he killed Onaga in the past.

(I only say that because in Mortal Kombat 2011, Shao Kahn is seen as the winner of Armageddon, not sure what they did with Onaga at that point though)

I think Kahn's better because he rules with an iron fist, he'll kick ass, taunt and laugh at his enemies. Onaga just didnt interest me as much as Kahn did.

Why I love Onaga:

1. He humiliated the boss that I was stuck on when I was 8.

2. He survived a Thunder God's ultimate attack that took out an entire enemy base.

@jaws445 Because they decided to bring all 60 characters in for this game. One of the Deception endings actually shows that Reptile gets seperated from Onaga after Onaga is defeated.

@MaxBMWillian Kahn Killed Kitana's real father King Garold of Edenia. He then took Sindel's hand in marriage, and inherited Kitana as his step daughter.

Onaga came long before Kitana was born.

Oh and a side not, Shaolin Monks is not part of the MK canon.

Onaga was so powerful because he had all of the Komidogu at his side. When they were either destroyed or stolen from him, much of his power was lost.

Plus, Blaze was captured by Onaga's minions and forced to guard Onaga when he was still an egg. The dark magic used on him corrupted his design into a super powered monster.

The only characters whose endings are the true endings are Scorpion, Shujinko, Raiden, Liu Kang, Ermac, Sub-Zero, Kenshi, Bo'Rai Cho, Mileena, Baraka(and maybe Ashrah and Darious)

Yeah, it takes it away from what happens when all you see is the character doing battle moves. It's kinda neat hearing what happened but at their core, these suck.

I don't think they would've done full cgi scenes for every single character, but I would have settled for in game scenes at least.
