@sabino86 I've met some people who dislike Sting simply because he makes them feel stupid because he doesn't censor his collegiate vocabulary and references to sell more records. There was actually a joke on the animated show Beavis & Butthead about it. Unfortunately, it was Butthead who disliked Sting. :S

What does he say at 4:08 - 4:15? I've always loved to hear him say that, but never could figure it out. It is no where to be found online. Somebody please help me so I can stop substituting this with jibberish.
@beachbody03 I had a real close listen to those lines at end...sounds to me like "It's been raining since we first met. Sitting/Slipping/Sneaking? under your umbrella...but it always me that ends up getting wet." Can't quite make out that first word on second line from the end...
@xenbay I think the fade-out lyrics are: "[something, something] since we first met. It's a big enough umbrella, but it's always me that ends up getting wet." He's repeating the lyrics of the bridge right before the chorus. I think you have the word "raining" correct in the first phrase. Not completely sure.
But, I don't know, from a mixing standpoint, the song sounds terribly congested. Especially in the chorus, the vocals are way in the back, and you just hear a crapload of instruments upfront?
what a thick twat i am. after being a big fan of the Police since '79, i've just realised that the LED logo represents the heads of the band-members. am now off to beat my balls blue as punishment.
@fifthof Get in line, dude... Lots of us are just now figuring that out... Oh, well... we are smarter today than we were yesterday... The Police kick ass !!
@fifthof OMG I never knew that either! its so clear now...how could I not know this? Am I not a dedicated Police fan? Who am I? Where am I? Is this a big enough umbrella?
@Paperhouse81 1. You couldn't understand my first post . 2. " Your " is spelled You're , as in You are . 3. You lack a sense of humour, or should i spell it humor. .........and yet it is me who is the ignorant cunt ?
@fifthof 1. People usually ask questions when they indeed don't understand something, THAT IS WHY i asked you about the LED Logo...DUMBASS! 2. I am aware of the spelling, i am not here for a fucking spelling bee or to impress anyone with my spelling, my Type-O has absolutely nothing to do with you being a cunt. Lack of sense of humor? Where the fuck is the joke?
@Paperhouse81 You seem to carry a lot of anger, thus i will explain it again carefully before your rising blood pressure gives you a stroke. The...LED...logos....are ....representations....of ...the....band.....members....heads'. I can't really make it any clearer than that. LMFAO is good.So too is LOL. You for You're is a pointless contraction . DUMBASS!!!. That's (notice the apostrophe) a brilliant expression as well. Keep calm and carry on.
@Paperhouse81 . You missed out ...heads. Using the words " shit and cunt " makes you appear slightly inarticulate and maybe ignorant as well and even illiterate; who knows ? Which might explain why I had to carefully go through my original post so that it became clearer to you.. Now, bore off .
Once Roxanne put that Ghost In My Machine, Every Little Thing She Did Was Magic, and I've been Wrapped Arround Her(your) Finger ever since. Love the Police!
I saw The Police on the Ghost In The Machine Tour back in the early 80's. I took 3 girls to that concert. Lynn, Karen, and Susan. Those were the days!!
If I am correct, on the Ghost in the Machine album from left to right it is Andy Summers, Sting, and Stewart Copeland. Only a true Police fan would know that, please correct me if I'm wrong.
Stewarts drum playing in this song is awesome. Just listen to his hihat playing, simply briliant. So expresive and classy. I can just focus on his Hi hat and almost cancel out the rest. 3:44 and out is like the calm after the storm.
LOVE this album ! It's soo early 80's The 3 digital images are their faces. Left to right>Andy Summers,Sting with the crop top hair and Stewart Copeland.
I prefer this video to the 'official' one. That other one sounds like the speed has been messed up, making the sound play faster, and making everything sound a little to high pitched.
The Police wrote gems while everyone after aspired to the same only wrinting dust to be tossed in the wind.
