I see you brought up quantum mechanics, don't forget that quantum mechanics dabbles in that realm of solipsism. Quantum mechanics points to the fact that consciousness creates/influences the wave-particle duality of electrons. Here on youtube you can check out the double-slit experiment.

Actually most aspects of quantum mechanics (since you brought it up) is not testable mainly because the observance step is not accurate due to the uncertainty principle (the fact that the mere act of observance changes the circumstances.) So while you may think of science as this concrete subject, there are many flaws to the solidity of it on the deeper quantum level. That depth gives us room to experiment and think about other ideologies especially the Law of Attraction.

Eye of the Needle is thought to be a reference to a place outside of Petra. (Google Petra for more info). It was a desolate dangerous place that was difficult to traverse. So it may not be a sewing instrument, but rather a reference point. Getting your transport (camel) through this passage was extremely difficult). I also just found a reference for it in Yahoo discussions. Useful stuff. You had to unload the burdens from the camel and somehow get it to kneel to get through an after dark city gate entrance, called the eye of the needle. So 'It is easier for a camel to get through the eye of the needle as it is for a rich man to get to heaven' refers to releasing our physical possessions - you cannot take it with you. Anyway, wealth is there to be our servant, and not the other way around.
