I lived in the 80's also in Kuwait. There wasn't a bad player on the Kuwaities team, every player was something else. I feel sorry for the youngsters in Kuwait now, they get to watch a sorry team now. Jasem and Faisel and don't forget el Tarabolsy were not just gulf playes, they were of Eurpean calibur. The team was amazing.

I used to live in kuwait back in the 80's. The team they had and especially the trio of jassem,faisal and fathi were ahead of their time in term of skills and football knowledge. They could play in any european team and shine...no problems. In the 82 world cup they dominated the czechs, they lost against the best team in europe then France and only 1-0 defeat againt the mighty england.The kuwaiti team was a plessure to watch.Some of jassem's finishes are better than today's top strikers.

Jasem is the king ,i want to thank you for all the good memories.I use to watch him when i was young. I would consider myself a very lucky man to have watched his games. The saddest moment is when I saw him kick his last ball when he retired against Zamalek. I was at the staduim, everyone was very emotional, including myself.
