but in reality dude, NightWish is fucking dead they couldn't even sell dark Passion Play with that horrid vocalist off the streets Anette Olzen. Shes terrible as hell, NightWish is dead dude, face it the only thing selling or even coming out of NightWish period is resales of Tarja's time spent in it & Tarja's solo career which tops any NightWish hands down cause she took it with her & upped her stakes.

If you like this band, you should also check out Nightwish. They have a similar style, but their sound is a little different. Still good, but just different.

They are amazing. Their genre is called Symphonic Metal and they are the best band in said genre that I have ever heard. Don't get me wrong, Dar Moor is awesome, but Nightwish has more of an "epic" feel to it. Not to mention their singer, Tarja Turunen, is simply amazing. She was classically trained in vocal performance and so she really knows what she's doing. She has a beautiful voice.

Yeah...I know. It's sad. I mean, Anette is not a bad singer, but Tarja was much better, in my opinion. But that could be because I was trained in a similar style as she was. I'm a little partial.

Tarja was part of what Nightwish was..You could replace Jukka or Emppu or even Tuomas, though he sort of owns the band, but Tarja and Marco gave it a very distinctive sound. If they ever lost Marco, I would stop listening. Anette isn't bad, as you say, but she's no Tarja.

Amen to that. Yeah, I don't really think that Tuomas could be replaced. He is also part of that distinctive feel. Not to mention an amazing pianist!

@12thRegiment I know this comment is ancient but I cant let it go. Tuomas is NOT replaceable. He is the principal songwriter and the only reason tarja was able to shine was through his compositions. If she was so great, how come her solo album sold so poorly?
