If God "gave" the land to Israel, why did they lose it for 2 thousand years, from 70 A.D. to 1948? God repeatedly, in the Torah, exiled the Jews from the land now known as Israel several times because they weren't being obedient to His will/laws. Israel is a nation, not a landmass. The question is, is the nation of Israel currently obedient to God's law/follwing the Ten Commandments, as a nation? Doesn't seem so. In that light, their claim isn't righteous.
