when my cousin was in iraq he would totally ration his mres. in the morning he would eat the side. in mid day he will eat 2 snacks. then he would eat the entree and the desert if the staff sargent was in a good mood

I had the Meatloaf MRE it was pretty good. Now what they have to do is put a few packets of water in there for the cooking drinking and cleaning and your set. I know the make packets of water because I got a box of 40 I think it was in room here.

The MCI's and C rations were far better in food quality, but weighed three times more. It also seems that MRE portions are much smaller and you'd want to eat a bit more.

MRE's are pretty damn good. And after a hard days work they tasted good too. They pack 2500 calories to boot. Keep you going for sure.

Pretty much, the thing to practice is timing. it's good to always have something in the heater and finish eating one thing right when the next thing is done.

um..my frh went out after 15 minuites of cooking. you must have one of those identical civilian mre's. the word "meal" on the front of the pouch is way different than any others ive seen. either that of you have an old mre.

His is a military one because the bag says "civilian sale is unlawful." Somehow, its not illegal, but it is frowned upon. The one you had was most likely civilian.
