  • GAWD DANG IT! That's a gorgeous Monti Carlo.

My sister bought one and the salesman told her it was a 75 or 76 (whichever year they started with unleaded fuel). She put unleaded in it for a year and the friggin thing died. Had she lived near by I'd have known better and told her.

Her's was deeper maroon with a white landau with moon roof.

  • NICE CAR

  • Being an owner of a dual quad, punched out big block 74 Monte and an LS6 powered 86 SS, both of which annihilate rear rubber, I hate to nitpick. Your burnout was started on water. My 74, especially with the long wheelbase, boils both tires on dry pavement and will NOT stay in a straight line. You do have a nice car, though. Big block is the way to go. A ton and a half car needs the torque of a big block to get it off the line. I wore the factory 350 slap out of it.

  • any car can burn the tires by power breaking!

  • eff fords-unreliable, imports <expensive; CHEVY'S r the sHit....I OWN A 77

    MONTE CARLO

  • @ballinallinyagrill

Same here man.. 383 stroker.. 700r tranny.. and a 3:73 rear end.. waiting on the supercharger now

  • gah i miss my 77. i was 18 when i got it and knew nothing about cars. it would burnout straight smoke for 1/16 mile. it was primer black with red velvet interior. i blew a freeze plug, kept driving, locked the engine and junked it.

  • my 73, took a couple of road signs, trash can's, people, and hondas!! needles to say it still looks good.

  • ha ha, had to use some bleach or water I see. Obviously that is no performance Monte.....

  • and now your tires are fucked up and you must go and buy new xD

  • WOW! Whats your 60 foot time? 3.00 seconds at best? I'm 42 years old and owned a 1976 Pontiac grand prix. At least that had a real engine-455pontiac V8. My Subaru WRX STi does low 13's stock, and doesn't require me to run to autozone every other week to buy a part for it.

  • i want that sweet as buick in the back ground .love the buick had one that i stuck a stock 430 buick in and a rear end out of a cop car 308 posi and it would fry tire allday with no water ..love the big gm b bodys .need more then a 350 in that monte to make her run great . looks like it runs good .but go big block in the big gms ...

  • That's not a BURN OUT, it's a BRAKE STAND.

Do it without applying the brakes - that's how you do a BURN OUT.

  • go fuck yourself you stupid son of a bitch

  • A brake stand IS a type of burnout. Ever heard of burnout competitions? That's what they do... line lock on the front brakes, then burn out the rear tires until they are nearly on fire.

  • I love that car.....best lines!!

  • I had a 75 Regal bone stock would that do it without the water. What a boat it was. I loved it.

  • Whats the color of it.I like it

  • well if u can do it why do u need the ground to b wet. my stock 86 regal can smoke up a whole parking lot and thats on completely dry concrete . nice ass car though.

  • i have a 77 and its a lowrider but its build for hauling ass nd reaching 150 mph on 13x7's.

  • Nice thats my birthday.........nice car man... love monte carlo's

  • hay nice i have 1973 454 it's scary wen you get sideways at 60mph good shit!!

  • bro nice 74' monte carlo i have one to just gonna make mine into a lowrider cause there aren't that many 73' to 77 monte low lows any more.

  • Thanks man, good luck with your Monte!

  • thanks. I made of video of mine but its just the pics of it. I will soon get a vid of my Monte soon.

  • sweet ass monte! But whats with the water? A good motor doesnt need water!!

  • Tell that to my friends... they dumped it on there before i could say no!

  • sweet car man is that a 73 monte carlo

  • 1974, you were close

  • cool, used to do same thing with my moms 6 cylinder volare station wagon

  • thats nice and all, but shit i could smoke the tires on a freakin mail truck with wet ground under the drive wheels! try it dry fellas

  • Well... lets see yours!

  • Nice burnout man, looks almost like my friends car except the viynil top!

  • 2nd gen Monte's are the best. I'm the proud owner of a '77, I wouldn't get rid of that thing for anything. It was my first car and it will probably be my last.

  • 77's are the best years.. i can chirp my tires in third when i have the stocks on. i like to smoke the riceburners cuz they say boats r slow lol.

  • i have a 1973 monte and it smokes hondas, nissans,Mitsubishi, and once a sube although you do get better gas mileage ill give you that

  • Mine is a 75 Monte Carlo, and I love smoking ricers. I have a 383 stroker putting out 430 HP. and a 6 speed automatic that will bark the tires through the first 3 shifts. It's a total sleeper, no indications of power visible from the outside.

  • ha, you wish you could smoke a ricer. I love old cars, and we own a few old muscle cars of our own but.....I have a 1994 Honda Civic 1.6L 15B engine, duel over head cams.....It can beat our 1988 cutlass supreme effortlessly, and our our 1976 Buick Century (they both have a 5.7L V8 4bbl. The only muscle car we own that can keep up for a little while is my dads 1970 Pontiac Lemans, it has a 454 edelbrock cams, lifters, 700r turbo stage-2 shifter, posi rear end, 373 gearing, and a 850 double pump.

  • If a 1970 Pontiac Lemans with a 454 can "keep up" with your Civic, then my Monte Carlo would EASILY smoke your rice for dinner. Check out my videos if you haven't done so already. Mine is FAR from stock.

  • there must be something seriously wrong with the lemans if its got all that and it cant smoke a piece of shit civic.

  • damn that was nice dought my 78 could light them up that fast.

  • monte's are awesome

  • Nice. Glad to see someone else that enjoys second generation Monte Carlo's.

  • Big cars are always cool.

  • @BammerD ha love monte's i have a 71 but these body styles arent sp preety but they arent the worst.

  • @stevenmckinley8152

To each his own. I find the second gens to be the best and most underrated body style. I happen to own a '76 Landau and love it.

  • @BammerD i guess its true everyone has a diff opinion. i just love chevy hate ford and imports

  • that thing does a nice burnout for a 350! I have a 73 Monte with a 454, i'll try to get a burnout video on soon...

  • Do it up! Let me know when you shoot the footage...

  • i have a 77 monte carlo with a 305. it has heads from an 82 chevy truck, an rv cam, and the stock intake with a 2 barrel. it can spin the tires in 2nd gear and can beat an acura 3.0 cl. i built the motor from patrs that i had laying around. its very fast.

  • Wait till you can afford to build a serious motor, then you'll know what fast REALLY is! Keep up the good work though man!

  • man that '74 looks good in red and crager s/s good looking car

  • Thanks, i appreciate the feedback! Everyone else seems to love the combination too...

  • Beautiful car. I have a 1973 Monet Carlo, same color.

  • Thanks!

  • what engine u got?

  • 350 SBC, .030 over, .510 lift cam, high compression flattop pistons
