  • Do you wear headphones while out in nowhere land? Or just listening to the wind? When I'm out late with little traffic I put on iPhone with some clip ons? Just loud enough to hear.

  • @jalene150 When I ride alone I wear some earbuds with an iPod. When I ride two up, I use my Scala Rider headset to talk to my passenger. I prefer to wear the earbuds, since it cuts out most of the wind noise.

  • great video! Could you please name the songs used?

  • Let me get this straight, from the "research" I've done on this video and it's comments: You've been riding for about 10 months. You wrecked your first bike, which was a 250. You could barely touch on the 250. And now you're buying a ZX10. Do you like to live?

  • @Dogfacerawr Incorrect. I could touch just fine on the 250, albeit not flat footed but most of my boot touched the pavement on both sides. I never said I was getting a ZX10, where did you get that from? I bought a ZX6 and have put about 6000 miles on it so far with no issues. You really wise up after that first wreck. What's up with the negative comments lately?

  • @derdyserdy I was incorrect about the ZX10 comment, I read that wrong. But what I was getting at was I found it astounding that someone who could not fully touch on a 250 and wrecked would move up to a bigger bike so quick. But to each his own, you may be a great rider, I don't really know you. Good luck out there man, ride safe, and have fun, sorry for the negative comment.

  • @and17y1 Thanks, man! The speedo says it tops out at 120mph, but while I had it I only got it to go about 105mph.

  • Great video of just cruising, enjoy your bike man.

  • That's just beautiful :)

  • Awesome video man. I crashed my gixxer 750 awhile ago and now I might just pick up the 2011 ninja 250 :) just for work and school. The bike looks sick!

  • @GsxR750Speedemon Awesome that you're thinking about getting this bike! Just don't expect nearly the same sort of speed or power from it.

  • very nice video lovely scenes wanted you too talk about your bike though not listern to the music lol

  • @wayne840 That's what part 2 of this vid was for =)

  • Just one question.....which program did you use to make this video?...thanks

  • @zboza3aj I used Adobe Premiere CS3 for all the editing and Google Earth + FRAPS to record the zooming map.

  • Picking mine up tomorrow. I'll be trying out the twisties around Mt. Fuji soon.

  • what gas mileage do u get with that?? and is the power ok just to cruise with i'm thinking bout getting one just for mpg.

  • @kibZ28 Well, I never finished breaking it in...so I can't tell you what the true fuel economy would have been. While I was breaking it in, though, I was getting about 50mpg (and that was riding hard). Power-wise, you won't be flying by cars on the freeway or anything, but it'll be faster than most cars driving around town. It definitely has enough power for commuting, but the most fun is in the twisties!

  • @kibZ28 according to the kawasaki site, it gets up to 61 mpg!

  • did you notice any major decrease in power with the altitude increase?

  • @holyshit1337 Honestly, I couldn't tell. It should be noted that I wasn't pushing the bike to its max, either, as you can see in the video. I'm sure there was some loss, though. I might have noticed it if I kept riding over the mountain. My car loses a noticeable amount of power if I take it out there, and it's fuel injected =\

  • Yeah black moth!

  • Beautiful road, would love to let my FZ6R loose on that bad boy

  • DUDE there is dirt all over that road I would be scare.

  • @shagy2k5 I was constantly on the look out for patches of dirt while riding. You can see me dodging it for the most part. This road is a lot cleaner in the summer when all the snow is long gone.

  • did you finance or pay full price?? i was looking to finance one as my first bike and wondering if they just add the tax to your monthly payments and what not??

  • @thebingobasher I financed. They add the taxes and fees onto the cost of the actual bike, and the total ends up being what you pay, so you need to make sure that your loan amount is large enough to cover all of that. I would highly suggest NOT buying from a place that tries to rape you with insane fees. I got mine at Simi Valley Kawasaki and they didn't charge me an assembly fee, which was nice.

  • @derdyserdy cool. thanks man. i hope to have some videos up soon if everything goes well. oh yeah..how badass is that ninja??? it looks freaking awesome...ecspecially as a first bike!!

  • @thebingobasher Well, it WAS badass. In my second video I briefly mention that I did, in fact, wreck the bike D=

I'll be looking forward to your riding videos! Got any cameras in mind?

  • hi, how much did you pay for this bike?

  • @xkakashix12 I got it new, and after taxes and fees I payed $5k.

  • @derdyserdy mind if I ask what the price of just the bike was? I just bought a 2011 special edition and it was $4279, but with taxes it came to something like 6 thousand.... did I get ripped off? lol. oh and they threw in 600 dollars worth of gear :)

  • @USFCARTWRIGHT Sounds like you ended up actually paying for that $600 worth of gear. I don't know, I feel like there's no way around getting ripped off when you buy from a dealership in this state. I'm about to get a 2010 ZX-6R in about a week, but I'm buying it from a dealership in Oregon and only paying $8000...and it's brand new! I hate sales tax and BS dealership fees! I grew up in Oregon, so I'll never get used to this damned sales tax.

  • @USFCARTWRIGHT Oh, sorry...I guess I forgot to actually answer your first question. The bike itself was $3999, I believe.

  • Hey i really enjoyed this video

I think you have helped me made up my mind on which bike i want to buy as my first bike.

I was torn between the Honda CBR250 and this Ninja 205R but after seeing this im going for the ninja

Anything you could help suggest for me before i finally purchase the bike ?

  • @bugzy02 I suggest buying it used. You'll save a lot of money.

  • Nice music choice (apex). it fits the ride perfect. Sucks that u wrecked your 250, r u gonna get a new one?

  • @SIXGHz I'm getting a zx-6r next.

  • Could you please do an in-depth review on this bike? I'm getting one in a couple months and can't find a single review for the 2011.. Thanks in advance! (I'll sub if you make the review lol)

  • @rOcKsTaRhAwTii I could totally do a review. The only thing is...I wrecked my bike a week ago. You gave me a good idea, though. I could talk about it over the "part 2" video that I've been procrastinating with. So, I can't do a walk around (for obvious reasons), but I could still talk about it. Anything in particular you want me to go in depth on?

  • @derdyserdy I am so sorry to hear that! I hope you faired well.. I guess just your likes and dislikes, things you thought made this bike stand out, things that could be improved upon, any recommended mods, and if it's not to personal why you chose this bike

  • @derdyserdy Yeah, I'm personally looking for a Ninja 250r and I know I can get a new one right now in Radondo Beach for about 3500 for a 2010. I'm looking to make payments not put cash down and I live with my parents still. I would rather sell my car and just buy the bike but I have to think about if it's raining outside or not so I'm still tied between waiting and what not. When I get my bike I'd like to ride with ya sometime

  • You live by Ridgecrest? I'm in bakersfield, looking at getting a bike me a Ninja 250r. If it's not to personal how much did you pay for the bike and what kinda financing deal did you get with the dealer? I'm 18 and I'm looking to buy one I just wanna see how much most people are paying for theirs.

  • @Mastachute Oh, it's not too personal. I got my bike brand new, and after all the taxes and DMV fees and crap, I ended up throwing down $5,026. I didn't finance through the dealership, I went to my bank and got a motorcycle loan.

I will say this: the only reason I bought a new one is because I couldn't find any used ones at the time and I got impatient. It would have been better to get it used, because you get the same quality bike with low miles for around $3500 at the most.

  • im 5 ft 6.. do you think id be able to ride this bike and plant my feet on the ground?

  • @jesman1985 I'm 5'5" and I can't plant my heels on the ground when sitting straight up.

  • @derdyserdy but your riding.. so im assuming that you have to use you tip toes? it looked like you had pretty good control of the bike while at a standstill.. is it comfortable for you? do you feel like it would tip over?

  • @jesman1985 It took me about a day to get used to it. It's comfy enough once you get used to the bike and feel like it's yours. It's pretty light, and when it's standing straight up, it's not hard to move it from side to side with just your hips. I feel like if I had just an extra inch in height, I'd be able to plant my heels. You'd definitely be fine, man.

  • @derdyserdy kool.. :D ty for the input bud.. thats what i needed to know..

  • Hey do you have choke on your ninja ??

  • Hey do u have choke on your ninja??

  • @adadda66 Yeah, it's carburated and it has a choke.

  • hey bud,

How are the stock tires on the 250r

ive heard only bad about them

    mind filling me in?

    Cheers bro

  • @Hoytash1 Honestly I can't really say with any certainty. This is the only bike I've ever owned or ridden, so I haven no experience with other tires. I mean, really all I can say is that there have been a few corners I've gone through where the front tire jumped around a bit, which was kinda unnerving. Other than that, I think they're decent enough (but I'm still in noob status on bikes, so...take that as you will).

  • @Hoytash1 If your gonna ride hard on the stock 250r tires, just warm them up as much as possible by accerating hard and stopping hard, i've ridden on the edge of the stock tires many times but i was smooth so no worry

  • @Trainsk8 is this bike good for like long journey rides?

im in canada and my house from university is like a 1 hours drive and its mostly all high way. would it be a good bike for these long type of journeys?

  • @bugzy02 I don't think any sportbike is going to be "good" for long rides. It's tolerable, but not comfortable for rides longer than 4 hours. The total ride time I put in on the day I filmed this was maybe 2 hours, and I was fine.

  • @bugzy02 ya just as long as your comfortable on it you'll be fine, i've taken mine on a trip where i was constantly riding it for around 9 hours and i really wasn't that sore afterwards. Even for a sportbike its fairly comfortable to do long rides, i've even heard of people taking it for 2000 mile trips, you'll be fine

  • @Trainsk8 Yeah, I guess you just have to figure out your best riding position and you'll be fine. For a while, my riding position was a bit too aggressive for long rides and I was getting really sore after a few hours.

  • Beautiful area and great bike. Getting mine in February cant wait =]

  • Come on man upload part 2. This video is sick.

  • @knifed21 thanks man. I've been home on leave for the holidays and such. I'll try to get it up soon!

  • @derdyserdy alright sweet i'm looking forward to it man.

  • name of song?please

  • @VespazianHR The songs in order are:

"Jump Into My Mouth" by Black Moth Super Rainbow

"The Yearning (Apex VIP)" by Unknown Error

    "Project #3" by Derdy Serdy

  • BlackMoth...so good, also great vid:)

  • How's the 2011 ninja anything different from the previous models besides the gauges?

  • @DarkEclips The only differences that I've been able to find (including the gauges) are:

Ignition - 2010 has digital and 2011 has TCBI with digital advance

Color scheme choices - 2010 had red, blue, SE green/white, and SE red/black...and 2011 only has black, SE green/black, and SE white/black.

Other than small differences like that, the 08-11 are all basically the same bike. Only reason I bought mine new was because I couldn't really find any used ones in my area.
