I was already interested in this game, but the demo played great! I love the voice commands and the consequence system, the voice acting was solid and the responses were always so contextually appropriate. The AI for the robots was...a little scary when I got cut off from my group, but it made me appreciate them more. And I actually got scolded, which I found funny (especially since I'm ranking over Faye, who reprimanded me). I was impressed in the end, definitely.

This looked totally awesome, right up until the point where it showed the typical Hollywood bias towards artificial intelligence and "hurr durr not human must destroy" instead of considering the possibility that we need to catch up instead of annihilate. *sigh* and 'clever USA' are the heroes vs 'evil Japan'

@HeliosMachina Yes, I so agree. The problem is that humans don't trust the machines not to be controlled, but that's naive.  Humans are controlled all the time by acts as blatant as brainwashing to acts as subtle as advertising. If the machines believe they are human, then they're intentions would reasonably be for the best interests of humans. Not definitely, but at least as reasonably as humans are likely to act in the best interest of other humans (on a grand scale).

Well, the game still can't seem to decide wether it wants to be serious or waaay over-the-top ridiculous. The voice actors do fall in the second category though. The main backstory seems to be OK, but the smaller parts, the script that could have made this into something special just dumb it down to the level of a 12-year-old who thinks he saw something special. Shame.
