We get our prop guns from a variety of different places, such as sporting good stores, Army surplus stores, and some websites.

As a summary:

Spring guns - Cheap, no blowback, plastic.

Gas blowback - More expensive, requires 'green gas' or 'propane,' metal

AEGs - Most expensive, heavy, looks great.

The muzzle flashes I used are from the Action Essentials 2 pack. Sadly it costs money and I don't think they'd like me spreading their product around for free. However if you Google muzzle flashes you will probably find some free ones for download.

In order to do green screens you of course need a green screen, light the green screen well, and then you need to key out the green with software on your computer such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, or many other editing/FX software programs.
