Damned is when you can no longer have posterity. you are damned up, like a dam. Only the people who achieve the highest level of salvation will be able to become like God and have spirit children of their own to populate new worlds. Every other believer will go to heaven but will be 'damned'.

Joseph Smith himself said that one day the blacks would have the priesthood, but that the day hadnt come yet because the Lord hadnt ordained it. They were still under Cains Curse, which gives us no right to discriminate against them, but it does mean that they cannot possess the LORDS PRIESTHOOD. @jeroliver I never understood why everyone holds military experience so high....the ability to fly a jet has NOTHING to do with running a country. Neither does being a doctor. Running a country is very similar to running a business. Romney and Trump have much more experience that would actually HELP them in doing the job. @Porojukaha Well that's a pretty hopeless attitude. Ron Paul is heading the Monetary Policy Subcommittee (despite attempts from the Republican party to block this). Raking that crook Bernanke over the coals, bringing transparency to the markets and attempting to "end the fed" is a good start IMO. If Mitt or Trump was running the show they would have done all they could to stop Ron Paul from heading the MPS. This makes it harder for those crooks and their cronies to steal the public's money.

They could not have the priesthood for the same reason that God caused them to live in the most inhospitable part of the planet and for the same reason that God permitted them to be enslaved for thousands of years, starting well before Christ came and for the same reason that their skin is black. If a woman doesnt mind being a wife with other wives to a man then why should we judge them? This also has LOTS of bibical precedent. Abraham, Jacob, David. All were polygamists. And yes JS was very hesitant to practice it because he knew the church would be persecuted for it and didnt want to see it practiced for that reason.

@solomanspaming considering that they didnt have birth control back then and that Joseph Smith has not a single confirmed child by any of his other wives except Emma it seems as if even though he married these people he did not consummate those marriages (which doesnt make much sense to me). He married them purely for the purposes of helping them in this world, and helping to achieve exaltation in the next. If i were him I definitly would have consummated ALL of those marriages by the way.
