@raedne Thank you so much! :) This is one of those songs (to me) that I never play exactly the same way twice. I tend to pause here and there with the different phrasing and such. Thanks so much again! :)
Wonderful, simply outstanding and dutiful version of this song. As you state, very different, and in my opinion, superior. Cellarsun music, you nailed it, and you should be proud of your interpretation.
@michael5186 You are very kind! Thank you SO much for your kind words on this one. You really made my day today! Very proud that you liked this one. :) I know it's very different from the 'Blood on the Tracks' version - and I don't know if many folks had heard this 'Real Live' (1984) version. Thanks SO much again and have an awesome day! :)
@electricragtime Thanks so much for checking it out Kev! I know everyone seems to do the original 'Blood On the Tracks' version - but my introduction to this song came thru the 'Real Live' cassette from 1984. I kept playing this song over and over. It wasn't till I got farther into Dylan that I noticed how different the 'Real Live' version was from the original. Some of the chords were different too. I'm really happy I've learned this song. It was a bit of a struggle - but very rewarding.
@MrRiblet Thanks Riblet! This ('84) version of the song has been one that I had been meaning to learn and play for a long time. 'Brownsville Girl' is another - but I haven't quite been that ambitious... yet ;)
@kilidebusking Thank you so much for your kind words Marcus. Doing this song (for me anyway) was somewhat ambitious on my part (being so long and doing a different version - that most folks probably are totally unfamiliar with). It seems if you dig enough - Dylan changed a good many of his songs. Thanks for liking this one - it means a lot to me. Very best to you Sir! :)
@Michinil Thanks Michele! Truth is - I have been practicing the lyrics in my head for quite a while. I suppose they are probably stuck there now (for a while anyway!). The only REAL trick for me was to not listen at all to the other (more popular 'known' studio) version - as there are SO many differences between them. There are lines the start the same, then go someplace else altogether! Then I get them confused - then I'm totally lost and can't find my way back to where I need to be. :P
nice version ...i like..

You did a great job with this. I appreciate the tempo change as I always felt the lyrics didn't match the melody on the original tune. Well done.
