@privatedelta9 The Cylons hacked their defense network and shut down anything that was a threat, Battlestars, Vipers AND orbital defense batteries. The Colonial forces were rendered helpless and could do nothing to fight back. Watch the show before making stupid remarks and showing your ignorance.

@privatedelta9 they did..... battle stars are better than base-stars they had to. and this guy didn't have it in his video but it shows a scene were there are battlestars coming to fight but the cylons hack em, shut em down and blow em to bits.

@privatedelta9 i dont understand how he was being rude seeing as your comment was basically just swearing, also the whole reason this is shocking and a good show is because one man turned off the defense grid, which was ur land-based orbital platforms then out of nowhere the cylons, which was unkown at the time looked like humans, came into human occupied space and hit exactly where they had to. its such an awesome show because the inferiour cylons brought humans to near extinction

@meetsouder Dude. I am just like you. I prefer watching sci fi shows that are a little more science than fiction, that's why I love watching Firefly. It's one of the greatest sci fi shows ever, you should check it out, they have full episodes on youtube. There's no sound, explosions, or smoke in space, there's no FTL, or aliens, it's one of the most scientificly accuarate sci fi shows out there, and it's great.

@meetsouder one show i can think of is firefly, doesnt use any sound in space scenes, but normal people that dont understand how the universe works would be confused as to why the ships r flying apart but theres no explosions

@meetsouder there is no sound in space because but shows would be boring with no sound. However there is FIRE in space due to gases leaking from ships and burning oxygen.

@Kiwimcb96 in real life the ammunition wouldnt make a difference since air is the fuel. The "explosion" would mostly be contained within the ship and the ship would appear to just fall apart.

@KAiserSchlacht The sun produces light and heat through nuclear fusion (combining hydrogen to make helium). The fusion also produces a small amount of oxygen but that doesn't have much effect. So the sun actually is not "on fire".

@meetsouder wel to explain the fire in space when they shoot holes in the sips becouse of the impact the ships has a hull breach wich is filled with air even the cylon ships have air in them so fire erupts becouse of the explosion so ships wil go with a bang in space but will not keep burning as soon as the air runs out or the breach is sealed of the fire should stop so they burn heavy for only a moment of time

@rollthehard6 Yeah. They blew their CGI budget in the first 10 minutes.... and even that wasn't much because at 1:22 the Cylons are nuking a Google Earth view of downtown Vancouver. :) You can even see the Rogers Arena....

@warszawianka That was intentional. They filmed the entire show in Vancouver and that was kind of a tribute. And also there is plenty of incredible CG throughout the rest of the film.

@WarGrowlmon18 Yes the show did make those assumptions a lot of the time. For example every time there was a 3 in an episode it was the same one that was in Final Cut, all the way through Revelations... a silly decision, imo. Then again, this was never made explicit in the case of Cavil, he was always just portrayed as the leader in season 4. There was one scene in season 4 that he two Cavils speaking as equals to the rebel cylons... it was all very muddy.

@rollthehard6 What do you mean The Plan was not good? It answered a bunch of questions, gave a whole new perspective to things, and definitively clarified the history of the cylons beyond a doubt. It was awesome

@razz0404 It's was a tv show as well as a couple of movies. The tv show is over now though, and can only be seen by buying the dvds, or by watching videos on Youtube. =)

P.S. The majority of these scenes are from the Battlestar Galactica movies Razor and The Plan.

@razz0404 The tv show was at its best for the first three seasons. Season two was definitely the best....I think. Whichever season has the Battlestar Pegasus was the best. Razor is definitely worth buying. The Plan, however, should definitely not be watched unless you're like 16 or something. (Fine with nudity, killing children, etc.)

@TRUExSIGHTS Those clips are from The Plan. You should check it out sometime. =) Its not quite as a good as Razor in my opinion, but its still really good, especially the beginning where it shows the attack in more detail than the other movies or episodes.
