@nigen I don't think so. I think Ub Iwerks left The Disney Studios to open his own studio about three years before this cartoon to make his own characters like Flip the Frog. He did returns to Disney around the 40's. Also, I think he did took over The Disney Company for a while after Walt Disney died.
