  • Sorry but that doesn't seem to take the glare away - it seems like a blurred glossy effect.,,,

  • Are you an Apple salesman? You have just sold another antiglare screen! Congratulations!

  • well better than paying an extra $165 for an anti-glare screen i guess o.0

  • EIGHT MINUTES FOR THIS BULLSHIT?

  • how long are these antiglare coating films effective for? how often do you need to replace them? i need to get one as i suffer from eye strains

  • It's retarded that manufacturers are forcing us to go through this to all of us who don't want our computer screens to be bleeding mirrors. Fuck them.

  • I bought a Radtech anti glare screen cover and it seemed to blur the screen and add some mild colour artifacts, as a digital artist this annoyed me very much, £20 wasted, I must also mention that I use various self adhesive vinyls and plastics everyday so I know what i'm talking about.

  • HIHI I WOULD LIKE TO ASK YOU THAT CAN I USE IT WITH DELL VOSTRO 3750 ALSO WHAT MODEL I HAVE TO CHOOSE

    THANKS

  • does omnicleanz really dry without leaving residue, i bought lots of cleaners that said that before but were all bullshit

  • holy shit, they raised the price of matte screen from $50 to $130?? wow

  • What about the camera on 2011 Mac Book Pros?

  • how to fix the bubble in corner of screen ?

  • what about alienware m11x?

  • very good job. i don't like macbooks, but i do love your work!

    greetings vom germany :)

  • Buying laptop with glossy screen was the most stupid idea ever. Now, after 3 years of suffering I have finally bought an anti-glare film. It wasn't too expensive (25$), but I need to say, that it is well worth the money.

  • ClearCrystal screens look good, but are COMPLETELY useless.

  • reminds me of the horrors of using contact paper in the 70's. looks easy, by i'd mess it up. rather just dish out the $150 for the hi-res anti-glare and skip the headache.

  • @grapeboy83 Thats where patience pays off :)

  • RadTech ClearCal or Moshi iVisor?

  • @connswee This one looks better.

  • The tap thing is really helpful i am glad i watch this because mostly on my iphone when i install a Anti-glare and i get dust under the anti-glare i just remove it and through it away

  • scuse me a 13.3 version for macpro unibody wil fit on an asus u36?

  • He makes it look so easy :(

  • how does this compare to anti-glare solution that apple uses for its mbp 15? Is it just as good?

  • i just bought a macbook pro 13 inch, 2010 model. I noticed how my eyes get tired after using it for approx. 5 minutes. I haven't encountered this problem with any other laptops before. I suspect that it has to do with the LED display.

So, can this product reduce the eye-strain?

  • i am look for some one to put one on my macbook pro and iphone

  • this mac guys are hilariious

  • wow nicely done...

  • Is it easy to take off?

  • i still like the ivisor... it cover the whole screen....

  • I accidentally clicked dis video and I started watching it the next thing I kno it was 10 min later bcus it was somehow entertaining lol/ nice video it seems like it's a pain in da a** 2 install but thanks for showing us :)

  • This product is impossible to install without air bubbles. Impossible. I nearly gave myself an aneurism trying. The more you try the worse it gets.

  • @philodox13 I remounted the clearCal using a wet mounting technique that worked great for my not so nimble fingers, and my house full of tiny hairs.

Basically, I washed the clearCal in the sink, wiped down the macbook screen, then put the clear cal, while it was still wet, on the computer. Then I used a plastic dough scraper to push the moisture out from under the screen working from the center outwards. It looks great now.

  • @philodox13 If you roll it like the guy in the video did there will be no bubles.

  • what a pain in the butt!!!!

  • ok i have a dell laptop, can i still get one of these, even though they are only for macs?

  • i need to watch this video to apply the film but i cant see it bcoz of the glare!!!

  • does the filtre affects brightness of these very bright led displays ??

  • I Have this on my macbook pro 13". The product is as described plus it help to reduce finger print marks. Really good product.

  • why is this so entertaining? :)

  • omnicleanz? Just use Windex (3 dollars)

  • Great video on how to avoid the dust bubbles.

  • can i buy this stuff is big sheets, or rolls? I need sheets for a 65 inch plasma, and another 50 inch, as well as a 27 inch.

  • gonna pick one of these up for my new macbook pro

  • awesome stuff!!! I'm getting one for my Sony Vaio F series from e-bay!;)

  • awesome stuff!!! I'm getting one for my Sony Vaio F series from ebay!;)

  • A very, very useful tutorial.

Probably in the 5% of youtube videos that really help.

  • are you able to then take it off?

  • This is a much better video than the Macworld one!

  • Does it look just like apple's anti glare or is it different?

  • why dont you guys make the anti glare for the whole screen, it would have been easier to install without needing to estimate the 4mm border

  • goo djob i got a anti glare screen

  • @ravenshield56 is it better then the anti glare

  • Dude I'm from the Philippines. Does it ship here? Please reply. THANKS!

  • so now im tryin to decide between this and the moshi ivisor for the macbook pro i need help

  • How could I get this in Spain?

  • its the best ive seen so farr but i would have liked it to cover the entire screen

  • LOL i just realized that it was on your lap at 8:15. OMG -facepalm.

  • this anti glare film sucks why didnt they just make it where it cover the whole screen (LIKE EVERY OTHER COMPETITOR)

  • That cellophane tape to remove the dust is a great idea! Thanks!

  • I've got a question. I believe that the LCD itself is actually matte but then Apple puts a piece of glass over it which of course produces glare. And now, in order to minimise that glare we put another piece of film over that glass. It's a little ridiculous, isn't it? I also don't understand why the matte option is more expensive when ordered from Apple. All Apple does is remove that piece of glass they put in the front in the first place.

  • @thibaulthalpern

and what I don't get is why he does not turn of the computer to show up what it loos like.

  • So true eh. This bloody industry relies on the ignorance of the people, it seams like that is the only innovation they have

  • This guy is GREAT!!!!

  • @gevorgjaan

    did you get one?

  • I ordered my mac book pro, but didnt want to get the anti glare screen because it doesnt have the black frame around it. I did not get the screen yet, but I will probably try when my macbook arrives.

  • @gevorgjaan

Kool, kool. I orded my macbook pro anti glare film for the 17". it has not come yet but it will. lol i'll make a vid about it, you should come watch.

  • haha yea sure

  • @gevorgjaan

  • Ok just went to web site and they do have it for 13" 15" 17" yay i'm so happy I can go out side and I get to keep the beautifull golssy screan

  • I wasted 30 minutes trying to apply the RadTech filter but my brand new RadTech lint-free cleaning cloth kept dropping turds on the screen creating air bubbles. Terrible product.

  • Always wondered how this works. Thnx! :)

  • Hey, I am getting a 27" iMac...

IS there the thing for that?

  • We now have ClearCals available for the new 21.5in and 27in iMacs! Just click the link in the description to purchase. Thanks!

  • do you have it for the 17" Macbook pro?

  • Painstaking.

  • or...... buy an antiglare version for 50 us dollars.

  • I agree 100% spend the extra £30 to get that wicked matte screen.

  • and lose the cool blackness around the screen!?

  • I don't really like the blackness

  • good point.

  • just got done intensely comaparing matte vs glossy- the matte screen is the much better choice all around. glossy fanboys will try and argue to the death that the colors are so much brighter and deeper, etc- but in no way is this TINY difference enough to offset the enormous pain in the ass of the glossy's reflection. in fact, there is a layer of glass over the LCD, which cause twice as much glare. really, spend the $50 and get the matte screen.

  • or get glossy and do this

  • oh yes i want this glossy is a pain in the ass to clean other unlike matte

  • awesome can you guys make the glossy frame aluminum and matte also? xD

  • that looks like a bitch to apply.

  • Where can I find one who's full size with a little hole for the iSight?

  • its moshi ivisor anti reflective screen protector

  • One quick question.

Can this film achieve comparable result with the Power support version?

    I'm choosing between these two.

    Thanks

  • you can see a dust speck/bubble on the right side at 8:14

  • yeah I saw that too, also it would really help if he would turn the machine on so we can see what it looks like... :(

  • Do you ever have nightmares with attacking dust particles?

  • @dtobin123 your funny

  • Do you sell the 24" already cut down for the 17"?

  • That was really thorough.. Could you do mine?

  • Looks like a good product. Thanks for the tutorial. Maybe you can post how it looks with the screen on.

  • how come there isnt one for 17" size? :(

i will be buying a 17" macbook pro soon!

  • The 17in MacBook Pro has the option of a matte screen from the factory, which is why we didn't create a 17in model. You can cut down the 24in model to fit your 17in, tho. Thanks!

  • Yeah but, what if you don't have the 50 dollars to pay for it?

  • probably if you have got 1700€ for buy a mac, you have too 50€ extras for put the screen with mate (non glossy). But is a !·%"·% if you purchased when you havent got the option for change the display :/.

Obviously, the quality is superior paying 50€ extras. I think 50€ is $"&"·&. But apple takes when is possible for give more money. (for example 30€ for minidisplay port for vga or dvi....)

  • amazingly, i am able to decipher your point. and i agree with you. you had me at "But apple takes when is possible for give more money"......borat would be so proud.

  • How can I do that? :)

  • looks good. does it reduce the color though?

  • Nope, it doesn't reduce the color at all. :)

  • I am for sure getting one of these when they launch

  • Comment removed

  • you sir are retarded

  • cool, those look cool, if i get a macbook, ill get one
