  • I could name more than half the scenes in this, very good selection of films.

I wish B-noirs got more attention though, films like The Strange Love of Martha Ivers, Scarlet Street, Private Hell 36, Ride the Pink Horse, etc

  • This is great! Perfect song choice and excellent editing! Love it!

  • ~~Oooh John Garfield....Bette Davis....~~

  • this is entertaining, however, i'm sorry, but RubyTuesday's "Endless NIght" blows this out of the water. the 90's song she chose to accompany her video catches the noir atmosphere a little more accurately than this catchy 60's song. plus, her transitions flow smoother and fit together in a more poignant fasion. keep trying, though! you're close to the right track!

  • @TheAremo Touch of Evil (1958)

  • Perfect song for a fantastic tribute! Thanks!

  • Hi! what movie is at 0:35-0:38? thank you

  • @MrSpettacoloso The Blue Dahlia (1946)

  • AWSOME TRIBUTE!

  • You didn't list ,"The Big Combo", doll.

  • GREAT TRIBUTE

  • Whats the film at 1:59 - 2:02?

  • @mangaman8

"The Killers." The scene is of two hitmen approaching a diner to look for the man they intend to kill (they find him at 1:15-1:27).

  • OMG!!! This beautiful. Thank you RubyTuesday 717. Fabulous.

  • Really enjoyed this - thanks.

  • I love touch of evil so much, that at the end of this little tribute, my eyes teared up. What a slob. So, the title, Paint It Black, is great, but forget using the song...it just doesn't add anything to this experience. I recommend music from Barry Adamson, like The Big Bamboozle, from Odeipus Schmodipus. Check it out.

  • @sclogse1 - You're right, the song doesn't add anything to the experience - it encapsulates it completely.

  • immense work.

  • Great tribute!! Love the clips & song!!

  • Didn't you forget to list "Murder My Sweet" with Dick Powell?

  • chickgin. you are a gas

  • the labies are bad ass.

  • This is absolutely brilliant. Love the song and you've edited so well together. I want to watch some film noir now... great!

  • What movie is at 1:07-1:08?

    Who is the actress?

    Thanks! :)

  • It's Janet Leigh (best known as the ill-fated Marion Crane in Pyscho) in Orson Wells' "Touch of Evil."

  • Thanks! I thought it was Grace Kelly.

    Great video! ;-D

  • @golemmingsgo i might be wrong, but that looks like humphrey bogart, and he wasn't in touch of evil

  • A great tribute to a great genre.

  • Hitchcock's "NOTORIOUS" is also one of the finest film noirs.

I love this video. Nice music, nice films, nice editing...NICE! ;-D

  • All I can say is...........WOW!

  • Really nice although you really should have put 'Out Of The Past' in there and maybe 'Chinatown' although that one might be more of a proto Film Noir.

  • 'Chinatown' is a Neo-Noir...a really good one! :-D

  • this is awesome. well done. I'm in a film noir class right now and its quite fun to see all these clips together.

I recommend the movie Brick. its rather recent, but real small. in a noir set in a high school. its kind of fun.

  • She included Sunset Blvd.; look again at 2:32.

  • fantastic!

  • Sweet!!!!! Great opening and closing clip by the way.
