  • Love Otis...This music was a part of my childhood and I grew up near where Otis lived....

  • Otis had more soul in his little finger than James Brown had in his whole body!

  • @fishman724

Man, I love Otis but anyone who truly understood soul music would never say such a thing. James Brown was an inconceivably soulful man. He just had his own unique expression of that soul. Like a different color of the rainbow.

  • No body never will out do this man, Al Green or Sam Cooke. Just to beautiful

  • Amazing artist and song.

  • I'm only 19 and my mom raised me on music like Otis Redding and other great artists like Joe Cocker, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, and others. I'm proud that I was fortunate to be raised on classic music like this.

  • @BrennyRoss ....the best stuff ever

  • @BrennyRoss good for you and your mom!... this music will never leave your soul... hope you continue to enjoy it,,,I'm 57 and still can't get enough...

  • @NYChica23 I agree I was lucky enough to watch a movie called Soulsville Stax Records and WOW what a wonderful time in music.....Otis Redding, Isaac Hayes The Staple Singers and the list goes on and on.....all out of Memphis in the time of civil rights.....fascinating and watching Otis on stage....all I can say is DREAMY!!!

  • @BrennyRoss When I was younger my mom always used to play this sorta music but I never really thought anything of it, now I'm 17 and recently just started listening to it properly after finding some old CD's; I'm so glad I found this stuff as it sounds great but I was sorta surprised to see that other "young" people were into it.

  • @BrennyRoss You have an awesome mom! :)

  • @BrennyRoss you want a cookie?

  • There hasn't been a singer like Otis in the last 40 years. The

passion he sings with is unmatched.

  • Fuck now-a-day music!

  • God...pure soul nobody sings like this anymore I feel cheated as a twenty something I got not chivalry just hoes and bitches...too bad men are no longer able to express themselves this way anymore. You could tell he loved who he was singing about.

  • Who else is seeing Patrick Swayze in those black pants and no shirt??? Just me??? Well, I'm fine with that!!!

  • @mommyskittles ..... you do know thats borderline necrophilia? :P

  • @mkmufc1979 No honey... that's what you call a great vivid memory!! That man set the stage and standard and raised the bar on sexyness.... He had the WHOLE package... looks, charisma (sp), the moves... When he said no body puts baby in the corner, I don't think there is a woman alive that saw that movie that didn't dream of being Baby... Good Lord!! Is it hot in here???

  • @mommyskittles I was only joking honey, Im actually a straight guy who can totally see your point about Swayze's sexiness in that scene :P

  • @mkmufc1979 Good for you!!! Takes a brave straight guy to admit that :) At least ur not one of those guys that says he's (Swayze) gay just cause he looks better than they do LOL...

  • @Landofmine11

Quit the Air Force man! So you can be with your girl and you don't have to cause death and brutality to innocent people.. Love is more important than war am I wrong?

    Blessed love still

  • @Landofmine11

    how cute :')

  • @Landofmine11 fag

  • @l3etterlife huh you just called someone in the air force a fag

i dont see you out there risking your life for the country

so stfu please and thank you

  • @yoimgansta Uhmmm, this country sucks and if YOU don't think so then you are obviously blind to what is REALLY going on. Don't feel bad, most people are.

  • Respond to this video... Oh and the airforce is full of would-be gay frat boys who play with each other under the covers at night.

  • this has got to be comming from some coward to scared to fight for his freedom, much less ours

  • @yoimgansta you are not defending anything by being in a war.

  • these 38 people have no one to be in the arms

so the feeling would then be ovious ( dislike the song

  • 38 people rather listen to garbage like kanye west and jay-z

  • 38 now....they don't appreciate talent.

  • THINK ABOUT HOLDING THAT SOMEONE.

  • Otis Redding was the epitome of soul music. So much extraordinary talent and beautiful voice...with SOUL!

  • I will forever love his music and mourn his early departure. He was a HUGE part of my history in NJ, I was about 8 or 9 when he died. Otis you are still the best. Soul music at it's very best.

  • OH dirty dancing!

  • Someone told me they listened to this song and thought of me. I might die.

  • This song reminds me so much of Patrick Swayze...peace be with him!

  • @ShortNsweet505 i would say peace be with otis redding too, the singer of this song

  • This is soul!!

You can not hate this song, this is pure from the heart!!!

  • There are 37 dislikes? How can someone actually dislike this song?

  • These arms of mine...Classic Mo-Town at its greatest. My father used to sing this song...he was the drummer in the band. How times have changed from Otis's to ours. When you love a woman, all you want to do is hold her in your arms and let her know, thru adversity, there's still bad ass gentleman that will always long for your gentle lips. Rock on Otis where ever you may be.

  • @dgents100 Motown??? No mate this is a classic from the equally legendary Stax records. Stax was a lot more raw and gut bucket soul. Motown was more mainstream pop soul. Both lables had legendary artists and delivered the goods to their respective audience.

  • @dgents100 ....ummmm....read my lips dude....Otis was Stax.....there is a documentary i saw on VH1, I think, about Stax music...........I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that u send for it. After u watch it though, u may never wanna listen to this current set of artistes again, with a few exceptions of course...best regards.

  • this is fucking quality music.

  • love, love this song!

  • Ever since I was 5 or 6 ( I am now 63) my mother opened our hearts and minds to different music, this song and "I've been loving you too long) always bring joyful tears to my eyes. I wish all people could just live for the now and not have hate in their hearts and minds...

  • Rose and Bernard :)
