  • o-:

  • i think this movie is called atonement

  • Sorry if this is dumb to ask, but this is from a movie? (If so which one.)

I really like your video actually. The grids and same/different angles suits the fractured and lost feeling.

  • how do you know what is inside of a psychopath, dare i ask?

  • also Emmanuel Lubezki is a fantastic cinematographer so I will keep my hopes up.

Its really a matter of chance really, from what i've read and heard Malicks approach to producing a story is like an evolution through the collabarative process, meeting the people/setting he is working with, changing and focusing on things mid shoot that were not in the script initially because of these factors. and the same goes for the editing process, always altering 'the finished product' in the edit suite

  • who knows what he will come up with. it may be good it may be lacklustre. I'd love to meet him though, just to watch him do his thing. I think he is a bit of a genius, and judging from the 'outlook' of his films a very very good role model for the human race in general. !!

  • Sorry its just I thought with alot of your videos focusing on female characters that such a factor would be of interest to you.

I subscribed to your videos because of your video about Holly and the comments you made about her in the descriptor. I like your videos very much. well done.

I don't really know what I think about tree of life. I hope for the best, but I am always wary of the 'Hollywood' talent attached to the films, as there style for me doesn't convince in Malicks universe.

  • Colin Farell may be a case in point in relation to his last film. Not a terrible actor but he wasn't always convincing, especially in contrast with the fantastic supporting cast who just incredibly 'real', like they were soaked into the time/landscape if that isn't too pretentious a phrase. And also christopher plummer's shakespearean presence felt alien to the realism of the piece. I am refering to Brad Pitt in relation to the tree of life, hes more talented then farrell in my book but still...

  • Thanks, Yeah, Malick does a great job with the characters in it.What do you mean when you call Holly 'an alternate reality of briony in high school' who is briony? If you like Badlands you should try 'The Thin Red Line,' if you havn't already. Its Malicks next best film (its louder with his philosophy.) Be warned though, there are no female characters, and its very different to your typical film in terms of narrative. Watch it twice and if u are anything like me, u will be totally immersed in it.

  • oh ok Briony is Saoirse Ronan, sorry i'm a bit slow. Still, if you don't mind me asking, what would briony be like in high school? while both characters are in this kind of morally ambigious universe, I don't really see her as being like Holly.

i see a difference between Briony and Holly, Briony has more malevolence, more edge maybe, shes not just wandering 'in her evils'.hard to put my finger on. or maybe they are the same and the only difference being the film which presents them

  • Well said. And I love how the "lalalala" just adds to the creepiness of the vid. You can't go wrong with Heartsrevolution.

  • i love this movie

  • nice video:D

    what song is this?

  • Just great.

  • i love the grid. this is really, really, really good.

  • Fascinating! You have a talent. I absolutely adore Briony's character, shes so... innocently evil.

  • good video.
