  • So now it is 2012 how do we stop the enemy within?

  • Nixon didn't kill em, not the USA, NVA, Commies, Hippies, Barbarella, not Rooster.People were 'act'n' n combat roles against people 'act'n' n combat roles got most o'em killed. Blaming any1, but the people there killing, 4 any1's death is silly. War=homicide organized&neatly packaged. "Good" war is u'r side completely destroying people. Who is still looking 4 people 2 blame 4 early deaths? Lookin 4 justice in war?! It was.No more. Blaming 4 otherpeople's actions lies 2thepowr. You are sovereign

  • It certainly didn't turn out as it did because of bad tunes.

  • viva VIETNAMMMMMMMMMM:::

  • you sat back and watched for most of it.....dummy

  • Sick of everyone playing like they're experts on politics and this war. Listen to the people that fought it

  • Vietnam was a victory, it put a lot of people of war, that's certainly an important victory.

  • there's a bathroom on the right

  • It's fucked up what these guys had to go through i have the upmost respect for our vietnam vets and those of all wars...call of duty does the military no justice other than getting new recurtes.

  • Why did America have to go and try to control Vietnam. I mean we should have just sat back and watched like in WWII.

  • @jshalander We sat back and watched in WWII? You been smoking something?

  • @jshalander lol read a book

  • @maguire289 We finally agree on something. Enough killing. I learned that 1966-67 in Vietnam. Please understand. We (Americans) are not all blood thirsty killers. We are the same as any other nation. We suffer for the shortcomings of our government as you suffer from the mistakes of yours. The difference between us is that I will not attack your people or country on YT.

  • Comment removed

  • @maguire289 I appreciate your concern and as I said I will not criticize other nations. I will defend America and her soldiers. Unfortunately, there are times when armed conflict is the solution. This will never be a perfect world. Sorry if I became offensive.

  • @maguire289 I am Christian. I suspect we've found a second commonality.

  • Comment removed

  • @maguire289 I thought so. If it wasn't for soldiers and man's willingness to defend his brother man you may be German or Russian now. Yes, you'd feel the same but you would also be keeping your opinion to yourself.

  • @maguire289 Curious. What is your nationality?

  • @mdupeYorkPa What does his nationality matter? The guy's right. Murder is still murder when it's done under the shadow of a flag.

  • @FungalSheep Matters to me. Not your business.

  • Comment removed

  • @maguire289 It's not murder, stupid. It happens with troops from all countries in all wars. None of us mean for certain things to happen but they do. That's life in this cruel world. Get over it.

  • Comment removed

  • @maguire289 You bore me. There is collateral damage in any armed conflict. Suggesting that America went there to do that is bullshit. You're a moron.

  • they deserve the respect they fought against odds against them and the viets used rat tunnels all the men and women deserve to be treated as heroes

  • @441959bdn Not as heroes but just with respect.

  • Powerful stuff.

    I love "Nam vets.

    They ROCK.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • 25th Inf. US Army 65'-66', 66'-67'. 34th Armor US Army 69'-70', 71'-72'.

  • Outstanding Video.

US Army, In country RVN, 69 - 70

  • Why is Susanna Hoffs in the suggestions...?? Oh I'm gonna watch it...just wondering.

  • vietcong losses 1 million, US losses 50 000. Conscription at the time flooded the Army with young men with little or no combat experience every 2 years, against vietcong who have been fighting since ww2. The South was corrupt, driving more of the population towards helping the North. The US troops did all they could, they were just let down by poor planning from the top.

  • Vietnam was lost due to poor strategy. You can't drive guerilla warfare out of a foreign country by flooding it with troops and running at them like a standing army. America was stuck in WWII strategy, and suffered. However, the war was not a loss by the brave men on the front lines. My generation may be filled with ignorant bastards playing COD and glorifying war, But you have my undying respect. God Bless.

  • @deadeyelee45 Vietnam was not "lost."

First off, you can't win or lose a crime.

Secondly all principle aims of Fabian Society were met.

American GIs lost. All people of IndoChina lost. All people of free Western world lost.

Bankers of the mass murdering Debt Syndicate won.

    BANKERS ARE THE ENEMY

  • @centurion180ad

A crime.... lol, stupid fuckin liberal. GOD I hate hippies :)

  • @RepublicSwords I'm a Cold War veteran.

Hippies don't enlist, hippies dodge being drafted.

I put my ass on the line, and I was in the thick of it.

  • Comment removed

  • @RepublicSwords Doubt away at your peril.

    I owe you no explanation.

Alot of good crews lost their lives both in training, and due to hostile action.

Just because your Candy Land interpretation of what was going on out in the field couldn't be further from the truth, doesn't give you the right to disparage my postings.

I was aircrew under combat conditions, and I am entitled to my professional opinion.

  • and neither do rich republicans

  • @TheWorkingman67 What the Hell kind of crack is that supposed to mean?

  • @centurion180ad

You should just stop posting on here. You really are either not intelligent, or are just dumb liberal/hippy.

  • @RepublicSwords You should just stop posting here.

You have never flown or swam under combat conditions.

  • @centurion180ad

Haha, okay. Well bringing it up makes me believe you less and less. And some of the stuff your saying is just stupid. So grow up, sack up, and stop being such a bitch.

    Cheese eater.

  • @deadeyelee45

May God be with you and everyone else like us, in our generation. We are the minority.

  • no idiots have viewed this song yet.

  • These were our real heroes in the 60s and 70s.

  • GODMORNING VIETNAM

  • Hey u guy's..Vietnam was shit, so was 1914 so was 1939 so was Korea, nuthin has changed what the fuck should we do.......ALL AS I KNOW IS BRING BACK THE MOST PEACEFUL TIME IN MY LIFE AND THAT WAS 1967...What bout you??..forget war, foget shit, just live..PEACE. V

  • I wish musicians nowadays made music this good. This is real music.

  • home is were you dig it!!!! lol

  • In this war the Americans were the bad ones. The people of Vietnam weren´t unhappy with their Situation. But the selfish Americans who can not tolerant any communist country destroyed their life and their country.

    Thanks America for bringing "peace"

  • Its always great to see dumb fucks from another country on an AMERICAN created site talking shit to us. Like it or not, we are a powerful country and are obligated to help others during a time of war, civil unrest or disaster. Now, go back to your tea sipping wuss ass country, tell your stories about Guy fawkes and William Shakespear… And buy a toothbrush, you unhygienic toothy Fucks.

  • @19Overton85

Spoken like a true son of a broken bureaucracy... Why don't read about some of your own great men who realized they blew it before they started, that is creating a fair and just society.

  • @19Overton85 I don't know what a brit has done to you, but we figth as allies in the middle east at this very moment.

  • @ab5010 Agreed......You Tube gives a lot of people a place to be morons while hiding behind a keyboard. A lot of unnecessary crudeness.

  • Viewing these Videos awakens a lot of dormant memories. Personal memories I have learned to Love, Respect, and Fear...because I was there

  • @DaPineappleSam ,Same here.

  • Vietnam wasn't futile. We were winning before those goddamn hippies made the soldiers pull out.

  • @SA1911Operator i dont wanna start a flame war or anything, but the US was never winning the war. the vietnamese planned to wait out the united states, UNTIL public opinion was against the war effort, or they couldn't sustain the amount of money that the U.S was spending on it. look up "The Tet Offensive" or "how did the US lose the vietnam war"

technically what you said was true. those "goddamn hippies" did make them pull out, but even if the US did win it would have still been futile.

  • @larllarfleton I respect you, and how you expressed your opinion so pleasantly. But, had it not been for the fact that Vietnam presented in the news looked like some kind of hell mixed with the jungle, we may have won. Not that it wasn't bad, but that was all they showed. And while the "goddamn hippies" statement was true, I forgot to mention the the South Vietnamese Army was awful at war, which is why we were there. To reiterate, you make good points, but I still blame hippies.

  • theres a bathroom on the right...............

  • Khe Sanh followed up by the Tet offensive. The futility of the Vietnam War summed up in this short video.

  • WHO COULD DISLIKE THE 1960s to 70s excaclty no one!!!!!

  • LMFAO. Vietnams legacy is pure and simple: The heroin trade. Developed around the US army in Vietnam, Laos, etc. When the war 'ended', lol [you got your arses kicked] the trade followed you home. The United States of America has been the root cause of almost anything going wrong since 1947. Classless, opportunistic, isolationist, unilateral, warmongering colonialist scum.

Just like the UK before them.

  • PRICELESS GREAT IMAGES Not good for my PTSD but you got it all!!!! WHISKEY TANGO - TASK FORCE DELTA 72-73 USMC

  • *bows my head* peace, love to those who fought/died- *hugs* for you that are alive. ~ joy killar

  • Its funny cause they lost this war which they did have nothing to do with in the first place, Good job trying to be world police USA.

  • @Spongebobdaman cool story bro

  • In war the poor die to line the pockets of the rich. Don't go thinking we have made progress, we're still using the feudal system. The only difference now is there are more illusions of freedom and social mobility than there used to be.

  • I always shut the radio off when i hear this song XD i swear to god im gonna crash my car if this song comes on :D Even though i like every song this band plays.

  • If i were to chose what war i would want to be, it would be Nam

  • @inomyguns12345678910 trust me, it's not something you want in. Trust me.

  • @SnowmanthreeUther you are right he does not what to be in that war or any war.I was never in a war or even a gun fight but I listened to some combat vets and got the clue.It is not fun or cool,it is nasty dirty and one of the worst things that you can be in.so I think I'm being smart when I say don't want to be in a war.

  • Semper Fi!

  • I was near Bien Hoa during TET 68...One hell of a time......Glad to be alive and a gray haired grandpa these days.....

  • @TheSlntwrr1 Glad you made it back. Your generation may not have appreciated your bravery, but mine does. Especially the Men in uniform these days.

    Thank you, Vet.

  • And then Tet.

  • Looks like Khe Sanh

  • end of the world song

  • well done..

    3rd Batt. 7th Marines ChuLai,RVN 10/65-11/66

  • @soxbearshwks Thank you! Were you referring to operation harvest moon in the Chu Lia and Da Nang region? Or operations Indiana or Texas?

  • @Cobnor2451 Good men fighting and dying for people who didn't welcome them, then going home to people who didn't understand, appreciate, or know what to do with them. Thank you for your service -- both of you, and any other Vietnam veterans who read this. You were my teachers and mentors during my own time in the service -- barely ten years older than me, but, for what it's worth, I respected the hell out of you.

  • @ChopstickBrando i didnt serve, but thank you for your service, i plan on joining the military when i can.

  • @Cobnor2451 why?

get yourself a trowel and lay some fucking blocks.. build houses or schools for people. not a god dam fucking m16 running around playing toy fucking soldiers just so blackwater or halliburton or lockhead martin shareprices increase. use your fucking brain kid. war is profit for rich fucks.. always has and always will be.

  • @TheTechController Not because im some Gung-ho asshole, i plan to joing the Navy through Nrotc and becoming an officer, hopefully eventually becoming a pilot. The military has both the resources and ability to provide me training, as well as covering my college, and beffing up my resume by being an officer of the United States navy. eventually i wish to be an international pilot making six figures to through it in auto pilot. I have a plan, Im sorry if you disagree with it.

  • @Cobnor2451 In the service is a good place. Wish they still had the draft. Lots of kids could learn respect and self disipline, and what it takes to be a real American.

  • @grammaidaho

and what .. fight for the corporations interest.....nahh ill pass.. the america you lived in also passed ...

  • @edbermeo no offense but you don't understand history

  • You are welcome, it was our pleasure to serve the people of this country we love so much, and also thank you for your service. 2nd. Marines, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina 65 , MOS Forward Artillery Observer, Sniper

  • @ChopstickBrando Best way I ever heard it put was by Capt Dale Dye, USMC (Ret),

"Good warriors in a bad war"

  • @ChopstickBrando Not exactly. Majority of south Vietnamese did welcome them as they did not want to be ruled by North. A lot of Americans are overlooking the fact that the war held back commies expansion to other Asia-Pacific states and that's a biggie, more than you realise!! I don't give a feck what people say, but these guys did not die for nothing !

  • @soxbearshwks

    awesome! Love it!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @soxbearshwks My hat is off to you Sr. and all others who served; thanks for your service and dedication.

  • Agent Orange Legacy.com !! God Bless all our Vets !!

  • Interesting point one of the parts shows an embassy security guard with a Beretta Model 12 submachine gun, I forget his name but he was a former NY State Police officer.

  • @schizoidboy I heard this was an Embassy CIA guy. This was during Tet '68, before I got there, so I don't know for sure ~ only repeating what I heard.

  • @FLSHBK1 To be honest I got the information from a book the name of which I forget. I was interested in the footage because here is a guy, with a gun and not wearing a uniform fighting off guerrillas at an American embassy, but the idea is possible because an intelligence officer would be one of the few individuals in a diplomatic staff who might be experience with a weapon.

  • @schizoidboy Right ~ the wpn is a 9mm Beretta PM-12 submachine gun, which was standard fare for the Embassy at that time. He still could have done a better job with a hand grenade.

  • Is that me or lot's of the images shown in the footage were took during Da Nang siege??

By the way, great song with a good footage (^^)

  • @Ghazoleen Naw, it's you. LOL! DaNang was besieged by VC in 1965, when we were still armed with the M-14 (how I miss that rifle!). The M-16 shown @0:47 places this later, so it's Khe Sanh, Spring - Summer of 1968. Two Battalions of Marines held the Khe Sanh Combat Base against 4 (est) NVA Divisions for 77 days.

  • @FLSHBK1 You are correct, its Khe Sanh footage.

  • @FLSHBK1 Although it is in fact Khe Sahn, the seventh marines recieved M16s before operation DeSoto in december of 66 where they operated out of the Da Nang area.

  • @Cobnor2451 OK, Tango Yankee ~ they had the RIFLES, but did they get the MAGAZINES...??? I heard scuttlebutt....

  • @Cobnor2451 I bet they were pissed about having to give up their 14s.
