Terry's job is riding his bike (hence being on the cover of two BMX magazines in one year), and he's very dedicated to it. He has to ditch Vanessa for the night to run around New Orleans with Fat Tony taking photos and what not for a magazine. What happens in the last five seconds of the video? "BMX Magazine" is calling Terry, only to have Terry reject the call and go inside to Vanessa.

Obviously, she's upset because the guy is off doing a photo-shoot hence the cameras. If you would have watched carefully the bike rider is on the cover of BMX magazine. The whole point is he is putting his career before his girl (and acting on his ego). He realizes there are more important things in life and they have each other in the end (Hurricane Katrina footage depicts the loss us Louisiana natives all have shared). I think it works well with the lyrics. After all we all have a weakness...

One of the best, at least on youtube. But the girl's acting leaves much to be desired. ZERO facial expression the whole time. I have a hard time actually feeling like she is in pain - with the exception of the first part of the song. The canned job with the tears and way-overdone mascara run do not help the case. If you're going to focus the camera on her face so much - which you don't necessarily have to - then make me feel it.
