Combo packs are for people who are transfering over to Blu-ray. We are in the time where not everybody has a blu-ray player. Those combo packs have the blu-ray when you transfer over, the DVD so you can watch it in every player, and the digital copy so you can take it anywhere. I personally love them but I respect your opinion. Nice vids btw.

Re: the DVD along with blu-ray. I like having both because I often take movies to my brother's house or to my parents or friends homes and some of these folks don't have a blu-ray player yet. So it's beneficial to me to have the DVD and blu-ray in the same package. Just my two cents.

I'd be crying too if I spent money on a Blu-Ray of 50 FIRST DATES! I wouldn't even buy it on Betamax! When you said it was depressing, I'm thinking...what, HOUSE OF SAND AND FOG? No....AN ADAM SANDLER MOVIE! JEEE-ZUS!

Oh, and you can't have the full rich visual experience of SOUTH PARK in plain dvd--the Blu-Ray brings out ALL the detail...you can practically see the scissor marks on the edges of Cartman!

I also agree about the triple play blu rays, although it has come in handy a few times normally when I want my mum and dad to see a blu ray I have, they don't have a blu ray player so it saves me having to set up my blu ray player on their TV. Agree with you on the blu-ray/dvd/digital combos, why do we need 3 copy's?! Maybe if they just give u the blu-ray and a code to download it for free on itunes or something that wouldn't be too bad.

the reason why they make dvd blu-ray combo packs is for people on the go and who have dvd players in their cars and so forth but i think it is to get people who dont have blu-ray to come on over to the new format because dvd is being phased out go to your nearest walmart and look at the average price for a new dvd now
