My grandfather, a pharmacist and the inventor of the Curacao liquor, would never have used blue as the colour for the drink. Blue labels, put on some drugs of those days, would indicate poison he said, so you would never give a drink that colour.

im using 50 ml/2oz of smirnoff, 25 ml/1oz of DeKuyper Blue Curacao and top with sprite...since it was to sweet i added juice of half a lime and it worked perfectly...in my opinion its the best refreshing drink i had, even better than mojito ;P

i really love this drink!blue lagoon is also called blue monday in some parts of the world...sprite or 7up is more effective because it brings out the taste of the blue curacao, but lemonade is also good...cheers!
