yes, i9s supports text messaging through SMS and also supports picture/video messaging via MMS. But I do believe MMS requires you subscribe to a data plan. the ultra-thin design of i9s is so far liked by many. when you compare i9s with iphone, iphone is too bulky.

the i9s is an unlcoked quad-band dual sim phone, which means it works with any GSM carriers (including T-Mobile).

if you put in 2 sim cards, one from ATT and the other from T-Mobile, it will work with both at the same time. Watch the video carefully during startup, you will see on the cover it displayed ATT then T-Mobile. You just set it up yourself. for accessing Internet or MMS you need to set the WAP accordingly. T-mobile's data plan is 10$ per month works really well.

the i9s does not support WiFi. It supports GRPS/WAP (EDGE network) for accessing internet. Text messaging is no issues with your current plan. but not sure if your plan includes data, which is required to access Internet though EDGE .

The setup for EDGE is very straightforward. If you need WiFi, you need to goto KooBay and check out other WiFi enabled phones.

I would say it's more close to iphone touch screen. my experience is that for iphone, you can touch and control the screen with your thumb whereas for i9s, you need to use finger/nail tip. iphone touch screen sometimes give you a feeling of out of control, any light touch causes action (some are undesired). and i9s is more controlled. slightly different feeling compare to iphone screen, but very decent.

well a nice phone. i like the dual card feature a lot, since I traveled a lot back and forth between us and china, this way there is no need to swtch card, and missing card, one phone with two sim, automatically worked in US and china.
