  • I can't stand when people comment on how "lame" a crowd is -.- If I was at a show, i'd want to watch the band, not jump up and down and go crazy. The point of going to a live show is to watch a band.

  • Fat Gavin is back!

  • gavin, is this gin in your water bottle again? ;)

  • sexiest drummer

  • I hope they fired that drummer. Heh.

  • What the fuck at the comments below me xD Tool is fucken gay hahaa.

  • Didn't know that art stood against other art to be compared...art is art for the sake of art and that is it

  • @purty707 Looser

  • @purty707 What??

  • @purty707 Fuck you man. Dredg is one of the most underrated rock bands of all time. Why bother commenting on this video if you don't like them?

  • @SpilsburyJames dredg sucks

  • @purty707 your out of your damn mind, dredg has one of the best sets ive ever seen.....troll on your transsexual mother's blog

  • @purty707

you're a piece of shit full of bad vibes and bad taste. gtfo.

  • @purty707 retard

  • love this song

  • Haha I just noticed that Gavin looks like Ronald D Moore's twin here.

  • l;fyor,khyirdgkfihfkhifuklh

  • laciana loue you jj

  • You just compared Dredg to Tool... what. the. fk.... COMPLETELY different, Dredg is more unique and their music exceeds Tool in every way...

  • @ashleylbaker you really gotta give tool more credit. I'm not a credible enough source to say which is better than the other (neither are you for that matter), but you sound like a dumbass when you say they're more unique or they exceed Tool in every way. They're both badass but they each have a very distinguishable, all-they're-own sound, each requiring as much creativity and skill as the other... just manifested in very different ways.

  • @vee125 I completely agree / you that they are both distinguishable & both, as does almost every band, require creativity and skill. I am not credible to say which one is better by fact, but by opinion, I am credible and entitled. So again, I will say, by opinion, I believe Dredg is unique per their use of alternative materials as instruments, philosophical lyrics & over all style. Dredg is raw, Tool is produced. Dredg is progressive, Tool is rock. That's my opinion, my dumbass opinion.

  • @ashleylbaker "Dredg is raw, Tool is produced. Dredg is progressive, Tool is rock."

    ...what?

  • The Lizard King has returned.

    He looks exactly like Jim.

    I am speechless

  • @hellifairy Lmao I have told him that before!!!

  • Okay, I love Dredg. I have all of their albums including the Live at the Fillmore cd. I've always dug their unique sound and lyrics. Their a talented group of musicians and I hope I get to see them play live before I die...but what is goin on with the singer Gavin? Is it just me or did that cat pack on some serious poundage?

  • @ManoDeRevolucion in the early days (if you watch the via overdrive videos) he's pretty overweight, then in the catch without arms days he's really thin. i saw them a few days ago and he was pretty average looking.

  • @ManoDeRevolucion Yeah, you ought to check them out live. I've seen them a few times and they have always sounded really tight, which makes me respect them quite a bit more. Plus their shows never really cost that much, $15-20 or so.

  • This is a really really good band!!

  • I wouldnt say theyre a bad live band. They just have some bad days and thats all. It happens to all musicians. Anyways, its practically impossible that they come to peru, so, I am fine enjoying their studio sound :D

  • his singing is fine. i bet he can do better but srsly... who cares, especially on a festival, whether he doesnt hit this or that note? what counts is the whole performance and that it kicks your ass. ok those fans are unrockable but they did fine !!!

  • I really like the band, but I must say that guy sucks live, I really have to say, really.

I love their songs, I love their cds and his studio voice... but, like I've already read, he goes off key...

    Nice song by the way.

  • maybe they're just in awe? i am

  • ppl like sacpilot annoy me .. dredg is gnarly, i could give two fucks how many times hes a little off key

  • If you have a facebook account make sure to become a fan of Dredg. And add the guys as friend. Each one has an account, except for Dino.

  • tripyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • Yeah I agree, that and it is a hard chorus to sing :P

  • yeah we all know he's the least talented in the band, if you watch them play the canyon behind her at that german festival he forgets the lyrics at one point and the bassist shakes his head

  • forgetting the lyrics has nothing to do with talent. you remember the sequences of words not every word individually, which is why if you forget the first word of a verse you might forget the entire verse.

Gavin is an AMAZING lyricist and writes some awesome vocal melodies. If what he does isn't talent, I really don't know what is.

and gavin is an amazing lyrici

  • you are a fucking moron he is the most talented in the band!!!! he changes the lyrics live all the time. a lot of singers do it live, an artist has the right to revise their work at any time.

  • Gavin is an amazing singer. Seriously, who cares if he is slightly off key during live performances? At least you know he's not using auto tune as so many so called "artists" these days do.

  • A great band to see live. The whole band is full of amazing musicians, but their drummer is FANTASTIC!!

  • Reminds me of my ex.

  • too bad ...

  • Dredg really reminds me of Tool. Although another direction and style than Tool, but their mentality. They are both unique in their music, they go against the mainstream and walk their own paths, they put the music first and not their image.

    Love to Dredg and Tool.

  • @Ollvid - Indeed.

  • 10/10

  • Part of what is so great about Dredg is that they don't look like Rock Stars. That is to say, they don't look like slobs either. But that it doesn't seem like they spent 2 hours getting ready. It kinda turns me off to a band when you can clearly see that their image is more important than their music.

  • Well I think your right, they just look like artists, I mean they look like people who just care about doing their music

btw: I'm gonna see them saturday night!!!!

(concerts are way better at night, it's a pity they always have to play in the afternoon at festivals)

  • ima see them the 30th of this month at

El Rey in LA im so excited!!!!!

  • this song is so beautiful n sad.

  • dregd is a masterpiece band.

their songs (specially El Cielo) are full of philosophy, art, science and onirical existencialism.

  • only an ignorant would say that.

  • i'm going to see them next month with as tall as lions

  • dude dey are way amazing live!!ur gunna enjoy dat show =D

  • Dredg>>>>>everyone else

  • Gavin looks like Morrison, great voice by the way

  • it would be amazing to play a concert there!

  • only ONCE in NYC? you've got some catching up to do! see them both days!

  • Someone told me these guys were like the Dresden Dolls, I want to hit that guy in the head.

  • THEY WERE AT COACHELLA FEST!?!

    WTF!

  • you can the album at

    musikdownloads(dot)blogspot(dot)com

  • TPTPTD was the first album of Dredg that I heard and it´s simply amazing. I look forward to hear the older albums, hopefully they will be as good as this one.

  • DEFINITELY as good. Check 'em out!

  • THE NEW ALBUM IS AMAZING! its my favorite

  • love this song <3

  • I'm not a fan of this. But I am both ready and willing to grant that Dredg is artful and extremely talented. Don't get me wrong, it is beautiful music and I am impressed by it. It sounds great, just not my style.

  • I would accept the idea that you honestly believe that El Cielo is their only good album if I didn't already have the expectation that you mentally decide more popular music is bad. I have seen it far too often, and the fact that you get upset about being called on it goes to show your unwillingness to accept change. So please, take your closed mindedness toward music away, and let people enjoy music.

  • god.

this song just breaks my heart in all the right ways. :')

  • I like the new album those songs are made not just for to make a song. you can feel how sincere they are...

  • Best song on TPTPTD IMHO. Simply amazing; dredg continues to impress!

  • Dredg is awesome!

  • Apparently progressing into something more than inaccessible music that only appeals to a very select group is a bad thing. I truly tire of this indie attitude you guys approach any band that starts becoming successful.

At least some people genuinely enjoy their music instead of applying some kind of strange standard where popularity reduces quality.

  • I've had the chance to see them 4 times now, and they are absolutely amazing live. Do yourself a favor and go see them play!

  • he has a good voice, an awesome live entertainer ...

there are not many singer out there who can sing live like he does ...

  • very GOOD!!!

  • I really like this song, I own every CD of theirs. They have changed a little over the years, but not in a bad way. I am very excited to buy this album, only 8 more days!

  • i hear one time, and that war good

  • wow its a very special video i love this song

  • what do you mean?

  • brilliant

  • Can please someone explain the refrain to me? *confused* I lthink I understood the lyrics, but only without the refrain it semms to make sense....... help!

  • i didn't know either. then i heard someone say something about it being about a suicide bomber enjoying his last day on earth. after hearing that the song made ALOT more sense. in the official music vid they leave out a big part with alot of lyrics :P

  • I don't know, if all the lyrics (especially verse 1 & 2) fit with the interpretation "last day of a suicide bomber".... what makes me wonder, is, what between the verses this

"little more information" should be, and how it could "add to the frustration / confusion"...???

  • cuz gavin is sayin like religon is usually a thing that people use for comfort and stuff, but if people are killing themselves over religion, he dosent know what to think of it. and like he needs alittle more information, because its getting confusing because religon usually helps people

  • now that makes perfectly sense, where did you get that from (no offence, perhaps you thought it out yourself, "I don't know" ^^)

    thanks again!

  • i can understand some people not enjoying the songs upon first listen due to them having a slight pop feel to them.

But, after more investigation and listening they really come to life and you aren't quite so distracted by previous judgments and you once again can recognize the passion.

  • very good. perfect album - miss the old energy though.

  • this isn't a very good song. it lacks passion

  • this is exactly what I'm thinking when i hear songs from the upcomming album

  • i feel the same.

  • The album is a concept album. Death is a huge part....

It will make sense, you just have to pay attention.

  • the song was originally called Waterbourne, which is the title of a film that Dredg scored. perhaps the bridge lyrics have to do with the film?

  • love it - so beautiful

  • sik lyrics

  • in the album they change the guitar in the begining, this sounded waay cooler

  • voll das schöne lied ^^

  • The lyrics in this song are beautiful

  • GAH!!! 3 more weeks till I see these guys for the 20th time! 20 times in 10 years! One of the best bands to ever grace the Vacaville Community Center!

  • whoa dude.. i've seen then like 16 times in 8 yrs... over here in jerz/nyc area... but good f'in shiiit tho!

  • I want them to come to Chile, to see them at least one time :(

  • better then cd..

    AMAZING PERFORMANCE!!!

  • Considering the CD isn't out yet, I would hope so.

  • I can't wait for their next album. I remember when Catch Without Arms came out I didn't like it at first, but after listening to it over again and again in the car it grew on me. I wish that I had the chance to see them when they had come to Toronto.

  • Dredg is way better then Mastodon.

  • compare dredg with mastodon, yeah! great -.-

tool is way better than bob dylan ... yayay

  • What a ridiculous comparison.

  • that's the point....

  • i'm waiting their new albuuuuum, whennnnnnn

  • JUNE 9

  • wawawa

  • I just saw them in philly.... i never heard these guys before there concert tonight and they won me over there just amazing.

  • Dredg's symbol actually means change, so I wouldn't expect any album to be just a copy of the prevoius one.

Did you know this song's lyrics are about a suicide bomber? is inner dialogue is not between him and his girl bur allegedly between him and his God

  • Wow really? That really changes how I thought of this song. Very interesting, very good stuff.

  • this band exists........................

  • Another great song! Can't wait for their gig in Amsterdam in June.

  • me neither, i'll be there to:)

i've waited to long for them to come to holland:) [en waarom ik dit in het engels zet weet ik ook niet:P]

  • Sell out? If anything they tore apart any progress they made. As far as chemistry, if you knew Dredg you would know, they all are very different, they do their own thing, and it comes out amazing. That doesn't mean they don't have chemistry.

  • Also heard this the other night at the Marquis, another great song, I can't wait for the new album.

  • they change the guitar in the begining, this sounded waay cooler

  • dredg as a band has evolved, just like any other band. El Cielo was something different and amazing, Lietmotif was different but amazing, Catch Without Arms was different and amazing, and Im sure this new album will be too. Each album has certain aspects that truly shine and the things that make them different make them unique and beautiful in their own individual way. So stop knockin there progress and stop knockin people knockin their progess, like yahbrahsah?! and the concious ep was whoa!

  • "Cuz I want to give you just a temporary bliss" What a great lyric.

  • RU going2buy the album and listen2the sparkling, well produced, perfected songs or justgo by this live Utube video?U were right sayin I made assumption though,I've never seenU post,I've just heard the same type of post many times. Also I can't even see the original postin, they "booed" it off,so I have no context, my bad. nice screenname I just read it. buy/dwnload the cmpletedCD then make an"informed musical decision"man I sound like an ass,"infomd musical dcsion?" forget evrything i just said.

  • what's wrong with people nowadays?arguing over shallow things.

    get a life!

"fanatic fan" fan means fanatic, right?re dun dant.

  • dreams-

I guess you wanted a retort. One of those guys scouring the internet posting negative comments when you know you're in a room full of Super Fan Nerds. What do you expect? Watch what happens to me when I say: "Dredg Sucks. No creative talent. And they're total assholes too!" Why even click on a new song just to complain about it. . . . . though I respect your opinion. But why even post it?

  • Good song...can't wait for the new album

  • what is transparent is this comment obviously written by a frustrated musician that has less creativity is his whole body than one of these guys fingernails. I have listened to these guys from the beginning and they have continued to put out great music and grow! If you like Leitmotif so much than shut up and listen to it and stop posting ignorance.

  • Is Leitmoff any good? I have never heard it. I heard from someone it was kinda awful???

  • Comment removed

  • i heard the exact opposite

  • saw them in kc a week ago the new songs sounded great!!

  • Yea, same here. I saw them at the Riot Room.

  • Amazing song. June 9 is so far.

Oh and I'm 100% sure the lyric is:

Cause I want to give you just a temporary bliss.

    Cheers!

  • one of the best bands in music today. haunting music with beautiful vocals and amazing lyrics... love it.

  • oh my god! i think the album release got pushed back once again until june

  • yep... that's sad actually...

  • they are playing in san francisco on may 19th. im soooo excited

  • is this on the album? i didnt see it unless they changed the title.

  • i think it's called "information" or "mourning this morning"

  • Did they change it from "Waterbourne"? That's what i saw on their set list at the concert.

  • same here. I wonder if it's true.

  • In even more "mourning" news the release date got pushed up a month. Talk about Blue ball of the year. lol DREDG!!!

  • yes, i ment the vocals heh

  • Esto es un rolon.

Despues de catch without arms ansio escuchar todo el nuevo disco.

  • i'm liking the new dredg the lyrics are so melodic ,i can't wait for the new album!

  • Speechless......

  • what a great song!

I can't wait for the release of the new album :D

  • one of the best dredg lyrics...

  • yeah i know. I agree this will probably be a concept album. Going for the verses I agree that this could easily be about jesus.

Lines like "Cause I can absorb your sorrows, I'm the one" or "With an anticipation no man could bear" fit quite well... I just don't see how the chorus fits to that.

  • so you think it's a concept album? would be probable... guess we have to know the theme before interpreting the single songs.

  • Dino should be going straight on 4/4 backbeat during the instrumental part and doing more half time stuff in the verses - I also don't like the 2H 16th notes on the hi-hat during the chorus - but don't get me wrong i LOVE dredg - this just hit me is all - good song nevertheless

  • Fucking great sound.

  • listen to circa survive

  • dont listen to circa survive its a waste of time lol anthony green is better off by himself than with circa survive

  • agree!

  • no, but they left Interscope.
