  • No wonder people worship Judy Garland. She was amazing.

  • ¡Maravillosa la Garland!

  • 8 people missed that like button...guess they should really start wearing those glasses...

  • I wish i could have been there to remove her stockings for her with my teeth after the show!...Judy had beautiful legs man, as does Liza!

  • If she was still alive and 20 years younger, I would so go lesbian for her

  • @KatieM101388 that's funny!

  • So sassy, so classy. lol

  • What song is she singing at 0:49?

  • 6 people did NOT get happy! damn them!

  • LOVE THE SONGGGG

  • The night my husband passed away, I had a dream that he and I were slow dancing in our living room, while Judy Garland sang, "Get Happy".

It was a comfort to me when she sang, "Its oh so peaceful on the other side".

  • i'm always annoyed at that very last edit flub where they spliced two takes - one with her left leg behind and right into a fram where her legs are apart... otherwise brilliant performance by Judy - lazy editors

  • BIZARRE! I LOVE THIS, and it;s later than the thing I just watched, filmed earlier, but a shadow of herself.

  • Can you believe she filmed this number AFTER she was fired from MGM. After a suicide attempt, after she had gained "too much weight" (at least in the eyes of the studios), after her drug addiction had taken its toll, after her second marriage had fallen apart, after she was thought completely finsished and done with. Leave it to Garland to come back thinner, healthier and in better voice than ever after facing so much hardship. Truly one of the greatest performers to ever grace this world.

  • Amen(:

  • @Capricaquarius89 Very Well Said !!

  • @Capricaquarius89 PERFECTION IN FORM >>>PERFECT Reflection of her past..Exact and correct....God Love Her, we all did.....HTH IN WHG> WV

  • Judy was a 'triple' threat, she sang, danced, acted all brilliantly.

She wasn't prepared to be anything but a performer, which she did w/ elegance and grace.

Wonderful to have her on film and record.

No one could move an audience like Judy.

    She died too young.

  • Yes - for sure!! Love and gratitude to/for Judy - she was and is so amazing!!

  • @1mommas I agree with every word you wrote about Judy. If only she had found a way for herself, in her own life, to "Get Happy." She died far too young. Maybe, with all the drugs that her studio gave to her, (and to other young performers, to keep them alert and working for long hours), kept her from knowing what a normal body felt like. Nobody, even after all these years, has ever been able to sing like Judy. RIP, dear girl, and thank you.

  • what is the film with the clip of judy with blonde hair???

  • Till The Clouds Roll By (1946)

  • thanks

  • its hard to amigan dorthy out of this video

  • Para os brasileiros que aqui buscam

coisas boas, vejam este e tb. outros

    na seçao da BARBRA STREISAND

  • Terrific! Marvellous montage and great singing!

  • It's kinda weird that Liza came from Judy. There are lots of great singers whose children can't sing a note. It just had to be genetics, somehow. Or maybe if you hang out with a genius singer as a small child it becomes ingrained. They are both so startlingly brilliant.

  • I know she had a lot of problems, which I think may have been brought on partly from her massive "push" into show business, but I don't care what anyone says. She was truly, a great performer and singer for all time. Marc Trainor.

  • She knew how to use those legs, damn!

    She was so pretty!

I would kill to have her singing voice!

  • she is great

    fantastic song and singer

  • Best performer ever:) I love Judy more than anything. That's real talent. Appreciate that stuff..back then..it was just amazing.

  • i'm singing this in a talent show at school.

Hope she gives me good luck because our birthday is on the same day. x

  • If there was a talent show at my school.

I would also dance and sing to Judy Garland.

    OMG really? 10 june ?

Same day? that is so awesome!!

  • No one was ever more beautiful and talented.

Judy was and will always be the BEST!!!

  • Espetacular! Congratulations on post!

  • i think you are so right the best things are the ole classics and i am 13 too

  • Judy, work those midget stumps. Go, grrrrrrrrl!

  • Amen

  • cant beleve singing like that went out of style.

  • millions and millions of people(including me of course...) still can`t believe it either...

  • wow! were u there?

  • Love her, the only one even close to her talent is liza, and we never see her anymore either.

  • in her prime Liza came a little close but she still couldn`t touch her mother... Garland was from out of this world...

  • have you seen caberet??????!!!!!!!!, Liza is as good or better in some ways. unfortunatley, she also had the same problems with addiction.

  • i`ve seen Cabaret... and more than once... she was GREAT in those days... but i still think that Garland was in a superior league...

  • yeah Liza is a phenomenal talent on her own and I think she's a great performer but the difference is and I've heard singing experts say this, is Judy had the more naturally beautiful singing voice where as Liza has to put more tricks and theatrics in her singing that are her own, Judy just had a naturally beautiful vibrato.

  • TROLL!!!!

  • I took them for a week. For a week after that I cried was depressed and slept for a week.

My point is that Judy took a drug similar to that called Benzedrine and downers to sleep. No wonder she was depressed. I just took them for a week and look what they did to me.

  • People don't seem to understand that taking that many amphetamines causes you depression and suicidal thoughts. My sister obsessed with dieting because she models and got a prescription for a drug called Dexedrine. Doctors associated with hers and other modeling agencies give them out like candy. Well, I was studying for finals and was exhausted so she agce me some and let me tell you. I was UP, UP, UP!!!! I was happy, wide awake and felt like I could do anything.

  • ILY SOF thanks for posting this!!!!!!!!

  • If this clip (and the other marvelous ones of Judy on youtube) get yanked, blame it on Lorna -- not Liza. Liza has always been very generous with her mother's legacy. Lorna (who inherited not a hint of Liza's talent) has wanted it all for herself (and no doubt her own financial gain). What a shame for Garland, who undoubtedly was the greatest all-around talent we have ever seen and is unrivaled as a singer.

  • Ditto to bvheath!

  • She was such an amazing person, her acting abilities to be able to hide her sadness.

As some people have said, these were her hardest times.

I love Judy Garland so much, she will forever continue being a legend.

(AMAZING VOCALS TOO! that poor woman)

  • Many people struggle to find happiness in the world.

    She is truely an artist.

  • 1948 was her first suicide attempt and there

were more after that (this is from Summer Stock-1950). Yet,

we see her out there singing her heart out telling us to be happy.

    Truly an amazing performer.

It shows that no matter what she was going

through she was really her true self on stage.

  • An amazing number. However,

I'm surprised no one has noticed how incredibly ironic it is.

Judy Garland is a stick in this number and these were some of the hardest times in her life (emotionally).

She'd lost tons of weight and was (to my knowledge) suffering

    from suicidal issues.

  • no1 can sing this better than her, shes ledgendary thsm for uploading this

  • There was this lyke audtion to get into talent rock...so mi friend dared me to try out and I sang this song annd it turned out the judge was a judy garland fan so i got in till almost the end of the compitetion(ALMOST MADE IT TO BRODWAY) untill i got a stupid streped throught for singing so much it is so unfair, i cant wait untill next year when I can try out for Canadian Idol :P
