@ryanblinkguy well, the song has few chords, theres a video in which Michael plays piano, which means he knows about harmony, and i suppose nathan knows about it too.. and they must have studied enough scales and arpeggios for making accopainments such as this. And both seem to have good ears for playing without depending on scores. Simple as this :) they have fun!

@guambombO Yeah, I have this conversation with g-friend all the time. We are in our late 30's now. I was the band dork that got his ass kicked a lot. She was in the group that teased and ridiculed anyone with musical ability. Fast forward 20 years and us band dorks are now the people writing and playing the music that everyone else loves.
