Yup, sewing would be easier! Just cut the fabric to match the shape you cut out, then blanket stitch around the outside in a matching thread. Sounds like it would take ages but really only a minute per ear :)

The glue gun is around £5? the head band 50p - £1? the material couple of pounds? round it off to £10.May as well just buy some already made.
