I do not understand why everyone is so hung up on Joel not speaking of sin. I believe that his way of preaching is to bring people up, to encourage them to see the goodness of God, which in turn will make people want to do good. It never helps to bring someone down by pointing out the bad things about them. In my opinion he is an excellent minister, his sermons always make me happy and I always walk away having learned something. God bless.

We are all sinners and nothing we do can earn God's gift of salvation that God freely gave to all through the death of Christ. Christ took on our sins and died so that we can be freed from sin and the law of the Old Testament so that whoever believes will have salvation.
Osteen always says that God wants the best for us which is true. But he never says that being a Christian is NOT easy. Being a Christian means denying yourself and taking up your cross to follow Christ daily. Being a Christian means dying to self and giving up your life for the truth. Osteen does not speak the truth.

I do not understand why everyone is so hung up on Joel not speaking of sin. I believe that his way of preaching is to bring people up, to encourage them to see the goodness of God, which in turn will make people want to do good. It never helps to bring someone down by pointing out the bad things about them. In my opinion he is an excellent minister, his sermons always make me happy and I always walk away having learned something. God bless.

@meandmybirds its not all about prosperity... he is leaving out a BIG portion of the truth. it may be his gift for encouragement, but to leave out sin is huge. The Bible says everyone has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. (romans 3:23).

We are all sinners and nothing we do can earn God's gift of salvation that God freely gave to all through the death of Christ. Christ took on our sins and died so that we can be freed from sin and the law of the Old Testament so that whoever believes will have salvation.
