DOES ANYONE have any recording of Vestel singing "Oh Blessed Hope?" That has got to be my absolute FAVORITE vesetl Goodman song! Yet, it is on very few of their recordings. I had it on a tape (cassette) and have not been able to find the tape. I'd LOVE to be able to hear her sing that marvelous old song again. If I am not mistaken, I believe "Oh Blessed Hope" may have been another of Dottie Rambo's songs.
I believe this song was on one of the early Gaither videotapes that is no longer available. The entire show was a tribute to Mosie Lister. I'd like to see it reissued.
Vestal is great as always, I have Greived every since she passed away, I can't watch the Gaithers anymore, I know she's where she worked all her life to be, I still miss her and Howard
@busysue it's hard for me to watch them to since my dad and mom always loved to watch the gaithers but we have to relize that they are where they wanted to be when they died, they are safe and now with god in heaven where dad said just think of streets of gold, but it is still hard for me to watch them still but i will agaion soon just lost my dear mom last summer in august 2009, but she kept all her faith in god and still watched the gaithers after dad went before her now they are both w/god
Vestal was such a great singer, person and wonderful example to anybody in life. She passed away much too soon, but must have been needed somewhere else, right? Right! I don't know who could ever take her place but another wonderful singer is Kim Hopper of The Hoppers.
