Run normaly, make sure you have lotsa air in your lungs, then start sprinting 50m from the finish. Thats how i do it, and ive come in first in the last 10 400m races in my county's olympics. :3

First of all about her mile time, she's a sprinter not middle distance or long distance. And if you where a real competitor or threat in track you would know, no one runs a race at one speed. @LiLWazzaap => pay attention rookie. The middle is cut, do to length, but the end of the race is there. The gap is bigger than when it stopped originally. If your still confused, theres the first 150-200m of the 400m and the last 100m. So your only missing 100-150m...

the 400 will get ur footspeed up for the 800 or whatever you want to excel in it. the faster your feet move, and the stronger you get, you can be really awesome in the mile and the 800 :) good luck
