Why are people always talking about working out and lifting weights on these music videos. Listen man it's great that music gets you pumped up or whatever but I don't want to picture sweaty dudes while I'm listening to music. Going to the weight room is super gay.
The new stuff is so radio friendly that all their shows have become mostly frat boys and dumb college girls who pretend to have taste in music while their checking their facebook on their phones and taking pictures to put on their profile. I'm not on facebook and I never will be. I have plenty of real friends in reality. how did i get off on a rant about facebook
ALL of my favorite Shinedown songs are from Leave A Whisper Fly From The Inside, Lacerated, Left Out, 45, Lost In The Crowd, Simple Man, Burning Bright, Stranger Inside.
i like this song cuz i dont feel left out as much the reason why that is is because im the one left out of all the fun at my school cuz i speak english and not japanese even if i can speak both but choose to speak english.
Honestly, I think I like Leave a Whisper and Sound of Madness the best of their albums... Us and Them is okay, but it's just not as good as the others. I love this song, Shinedown, forever(:
Sorry friends, but Leave a Whisper is by far THEEEE best album. Us & Them was ooookay and The Sound Of Madness is more like them when they were underground..but STILL not as good as Leave a Whisper. That album is just....Deep!
@Babycks526 Sound of Madness is not even close to Leave a Whisper because Jasin and Brad are not in the band anymore. The're music was more of a dark tone to it in Leave a Whisper, Sound of Madness is too bright, even though the style of the lyrics has changed not as much. The closest that they have come to Leave a Whisper in their new songs was Her Name is Alice and Sound of Madness.
I'll probably get slammed for this, but I disagree with everyone. They've grown as artists since there first albums. Every says they are so generic, no they are not. They are not generic, I hear no other bands when I'm listening to shinedown other than Shinedown. I'd be willing to take up that point to anyone. now, as for this. its good, but their newer stuff is better, but by far, their album Us and Them is better than Sound of madness
@firestarsfan I agree with you. I love their older stuff but their new stuff is great too. Yea, some of their songs are more mainstream but if you listen to the songs, there are reasons for that. Their newer stuff is just as hard as their old stuff, its just different.
best songs by shinedown: All i ever wanted, .45, Breaking inside, burning bright, call me, if you only knew, in memory, i dare you, someday, second chance, the crow and the butterfly.
@j182mcd if you like this one listen to "crying out" and "stranger inside" i dont believe they are on youtube but you can listen to em on "grooveshark.c o m"
Actually, Zach is 26 years old and been playing professionally since he was 14. He was in Saliva for about a year. This better version of Brent is a healthy clean version,or would you rather him continue on drugs and die? Just saw them in concert 5 days ago and they were awesome!!!
@ThatFreakWhoHauntsU id say their old/middle stuff is more about drugs as they were on drugs at the time. C'mon, "its 4:03 and i cant sleep without you next to me i toss and turn like the sea." So gay lol
@litatyas I think that they put out SoM because they wanted to get more more mainstream I think they're going to bring back the heavier sound in their newest album.
@Frankieh16 its not just the heavy thats gone its the members. The new bass player and the 12 year old 3 foot guitarist make them seem some what emo but with jason todd and brad they looked like a hard band and brent ? in older videos he just looked like a young guy on drugs having a good time but now he looks like a fat dad trying to be cool. Dont get me wrong still my favorite band !
this album allways gets me pumped up while im workin out,ive followed shinedown ever since leave a whisper came out and i luv thier older stuff more cuz i can relate to it alot more, theyl allways b my fav band tho
@litatyas yea ide rather there be an actual shinedown still, i mean its better than nuthing, brent can still write some amazing music,i guess im just stuk bak in thier early days cuz thats how i remember them(as rockers, not musicians)
Shinedown is amazing In my opinion this album is gritty and kinda hard edge this song is a perfect example of that Sound of Madness is just the same havent really listened to their Us and Them album tho

@crazycutie84356 yea its the same shinedown, and leave a whisper is their best album in my opinion, you should check out 45, crying out and actually that whole album! :)
