No, you shouldn't have to re program the functions, but if you are using a hornby elite or select controler with a bachmann loco you may find that it won't contril all functions - ie cab lights, buffer sound. I have found that if I use my dynamis controler, or my prodigy advance, all functions work fine. It think it the slow response is a common problem with the bachmann souns class 37. They don,t notch up quickly enough and have traveled a fair distance before notch up occurs.
thanks for your help, yes I am using a hornby elite with a bachman class 24 loco sound fitted, and no I cannot get cab lights on I have just been reading up on the dynamis, it sounds better than the hornby, shall have to save a few pennies again. tanks again for your help.

prodigy advance 2 is way beter than hornby select or elite also doz this class 37 come with tail lights or did you put them in
