@huynhminhtri Wolves are pack animals that look after those close to them. There are stories of feral children who were raised by wolves... This dog obviously has a connection with this child and is not going to do anything to harm her.

a few months before graduating i lost my best friend, a german shepherd named Max....i'll never forget him...it's been 8 years since he died. it still hurts to this day. we had him for 12 years, and every morning before going to school i made sure to say bye to him, i'd even go to the basement when he couldn't walk up the stairs so say it and the morning he died was the first time i didn't say bye to him. i still miss him so much. Dogs are such an amazing animal to have around children

I miss one dog more than any other. Our great bear-like rescued GSD when I was a kid. He was the strongest, most intelligent and courageous dog I've ever known, and he would have laid down his life before allowing the slightest harm to come to me or my brother. He used to 'talk' to me sometimes if he found me awake on his nightly patrols (wet noses make good sleep checks he learned), then stay with me until I fell asleep. I miss him sometimes when I wake at night. *sigh*

I had a German Shepard, the best dog anyone could ever ask for, they are so loyal and obedient. Even till the very end my little girl would want to protect the family (pack). She wouldn't even let my mother take her out as she felt that she couldn't protect her like she used to, so my dad had to walk her. I love my baby, enjoy the best of your days with the best dog ever imaginable!

I grew up with a dog, he passed away when I was four but I still remember him even now and things he did for me. The day my parents brought me home he sniffed my head at the door and that night he stopped sleeping in my parents room and began sleeping in the doorway of my room and he followed me as much as he could. His last gift to me was teaching me about death.
Great Video, My mum told me stories about our German sheppard never leaving my side from the moment I arrived home. I have a beautiful Sable German Shepherd and I completely agree there isn't bad dogs just bad owners. My dog has been praised for all the great things he does and he turned out to be such a wonderful companion. It's quite amazing how he knows the difference between playing with me and playing with my little nephews. When we play tug-a-war he goes all out but when they try he turns into a big softy and lets them pull the rope out of his mouth...
My dad doesnt wanna get a dog until we get a fence and all that cuz he doesnt wanna put it on a leash or anything and i agree. but...were kinda broke and its been years and we STILL havent got a fence yet lol. and hes kinda not liking the idea of havin a dog in the house. even tho we used to when i was a baby(BUddy got stolen). any idea how i could sway him?
@NappsDhaKidd my dad didnt want a dog either, because we'd had two for a long time (15 years practically) and when they'd past away he felt it would be too much time and responsiblity to get another. But we got one anyway! Haha A nice male German Shepherd (the breed he loves) and now theyre inseparable. I think if youre ready to take on the all work and have a loving home, just get one and your dad will fall in love too:)
@NappsDhaKidd Just be patient. Also, I don't think it's necessarily a good idea to purchase an animal when you're broke. You need to plan ahead with these sorts of things. What if s/he gets sick and needs to see the vet? If you're broke, how will you pay vet's bills and whatnot? Don't worry, you'll soon have your dog, but when the time is right. I think your dad is on the right track about not wanting to get a dog until you have a fence. Just talk to them about it and figure something out :)

i had a great dane when i was really little and he would sleep by my crib and stick his nose between the bars when i woke up crying. My mom tells me that he would pull me away from things that were dangerous by my diaper.
I got my beautiful german Shepherd Cricket because we go robbed twice me and my family are like her babies she is very scary even to me! but she's a huge teddy bear when my dad's not home and its a thunder storm.
She doesn't like my brother because she thinks he's trying to take my dads place as leader of the pack we have a little papillon and she barks and any large dog that get to close to him ;).
that's great. did you have to do any kind of training for the dog before your baby was born to get him used to having her around and be gentle with her?
Come now, someone is filming this, so the kid is not alone with the GSD. Anyway, knowing GSD's as I do, they've never met a kid they did not love. If it belongs to their family, so much the better. I have, and I would again, leave my son alone with our GSD and rest assured that no harm would come to my baby (well, he's 36 years old now, and obviously our current GSD is not the same as the one he grew up with - but there has never been a GSD around me who was not a friend to all children.

@AiEnkai Not all dogs are like this, these are mainly dogs that have been treated right, and which makes it even better is that the german shepherd is the most loyal dog you will ever have.
@DeadNightGaming Any dog can be the most loyal dog you'll ever have. Treat a dog properly and give him or her proper love and discipline, just as you would a human child, and the dog will be a wonderful member of the family :P Though of course babying a dog like a human child would just make your dog misbehave and be a sassy brat...like a kid :D

My dad doesnt wanna get a dog until we get a fence and all that cuz he doesnt wanna put it on a leash or anything and i agree. but...were kinda broke and its been years and we STILL havent got a fence yet lol. and hes kinda not liking the idea of havin a dog in the house. even tho we used to when i was a baby(BUddy got stolen). any idea how i could sway him?

@NappsDhaKidd my dad didnt want a dog either, because we'd had two for a long time (15 years practically) and when they'd past away he felt it would be too much time and responsiblity to get another. But we got one anyway! Haha A nice male German Shepherd (the breed he loves) and now theyre inseparable. I think if youre ready to take on the all work and have a loving home, just get one and your dad will fall in love too:)

@NappsDhaKidd Just be patient. Also, I don't think it's necessarily a good idea to purchase an animal when you're broke. You need to plan ahead with these sorts of things. What if s/he gets sick and needs to see the vet? If you're broke, how will you pay vet's bills and whatnot? Don't worry, you'll soon have your dog, but when the time is right. I think your dad is on the right track about not wanting to get a dog until you have a fence. Just talk to them about it and figure something out :)

I had a German Sheppard, who was put down a few weeks ago, at the grand old age of 17 and half.
The best dog ever! smart, loyal and above all a great personality.

for me personally German Shepherds are the best dog u can get. I had one my whole life she's 22 now in human years. And she still has her "i'm great with kids' spunk in her.

i had a great dane when i was really little and he would sleep by my crib and stick his nose between the bars when i woke up crying. My mom tells me that he would pull me away from things that were dangerous by my diaper.

I got my beautiful german Shepherd Cricket because we go robbed twice me and my family are like her babies she is very scary even to me! but she's a huge teddy bear when my dad's not home and its a thunder storm.
She doesn't like my brother because she thinks he's trying to take my dads place as leader of the pack we have a little papillon and she barks and any large dog that get to close to him ;).

that's great. did you have to do any kind of training for the dog before your baby was born to get him used to having her around and be gentle with her?

Come now, someone is filming this, so the kid is not alone with the GSD. Anyway, knowing GSD's as I do, they've never met a kid they did not love. If it belongs to their family, so much the better. I have, and I would again, leave my son alone with our GSD and rest assured that no harm would come to my baby (well, he's 36 years old now, and obviously our current GSD is not the same as the one he grew up with - but there has never been a GSD around me who was not a friend to all children.

@AiEnkai Not all dogs are like this, these are mainly dogs that have been treated right, and which makes it even better is that the german shepherd is the most loyal dog you will ever have.

@DeadNightGaming Any dog can be the most loyal dog you'll ever have. Treat a dog properly and give him or her proper love and discipline, just as you would a human child, and the dog will be a wonderful member of the family :P Though of course babying a dog like a human child would just make your dog misbehave and be a sassy brat...like a kid :D
