This was a beautiful story. I'm a nursing assistant at a retirement home, so I really love helping to take care of resident's with dementia. It's so important to remember the struggles that they and their families have faced on a day to day basis.

what a wonderful man, i currently work in a day centre for people with dementia and i know how important it is for people to have that break, it can be hard work and demanding caring for someone with dementia 24.7 and i think this man is so strong for doing so. God bless :)

Brett, what a wonderful family you come from. I can tell your mother was a lovely woman and you father and your family loved her no matter what.. My grandmother also had this debilitating disease.
