  • Your shootings are always so professional and great!

  • Hey Blunty, does autofocus work with the FT1 adapter? Additionally, can the video do continuous autofocus with it? Thanks and more power sir!

  • video quality is flipping amazing. how did you get the slowmo shots? does it shoot at high fps or did you use software?

  • The video is like DSLR worthy. Very impressed.

  • wow cool

  • wow i was entranced by the footage you took in slo mo :D

  • wow blunty that looks great! who says you need a really expensive D-SLR camera to take great, professional looking video!

  • Do you know if there is a similar product for Canon lenses? I like the body but I'm not going to buy Nikkor just for this.

  • Congrats blunty on another great video. Is that really from a really cropped nikon 1? I'm going travelling to belize and cancun for 3 weeks, wanna shoot raw. What camera do you reccomend?

  • Oooo imagine the V1 with a 400mm or larger lense.

That was awesome that you used the guy playing guitar. nice sound and worked with the feel.

  • Great looking video this thing produces. I like santa clause at 3:24 - 3:35 and I like the hitler impersonator from 3:38 - 3:42

  • Nice video blunty.

  • Hey Blunty, where was the place at 2:44? Thanks

  • @JackyJCMo Sydney CBD.

  • I have a collection of Nikon lenses that include some nice non cpu primes that I use on my D7000. I assume that the adapter will accommodate all of my lenses.

  • @ritterdude As would I.

  • oww nice shots :D

  • Wonderful shots and quality, Do you think its possible to get the same quality shots on a canon t2i? I seem to have lighting issues a lot, where the darks are very fuzzy, instead of just hard dark.

  • @grazida0276 Yes, it is possible to produce shots with a similar aesthetic on the 550D (That's what the whole rest of the world calls the 't2i' BTW, well... except Japan where it's called the "Kiss X4" for some entirely inexplicable reason). Spend some time reading guides or taking a few classes so you learn what does what and how on your camera.

  • @Blunty3000 I'm not a noob, i know about aperture, shutter speed, contrast, ISO, and i know what its called in other countries. But it seems like no matter what i do, except for post processing, getting very clean darks just eludes me on my camera.

  • @Blunty3000 I did some experimenting, and it turns out it seems to have been auto lighting optimizer, and someone cranked my ISO up way too much, thanks anyways.

  • @grazida0276 So all the defensiveness about "not being a noob" and "i know about aperture, shutter speed, contrast, ISO..." and it WAS your failure to check your settings properly after all. Funny that. Good thing you could blame "someone" else though so you don't look a bit of a ninny.

  • @Blunty3000 I wasn't blaming you i was asking you for help like a friend! I've been watching you for years and yes it was my help but i was just seeing if maybe you had a similar experience and you could enlighten me quickly! Calm down man, you don't have to flame EVERYONE XD

  • Was the slow motion added in post production, or was it shot with the V1?

  • @mrmagicalmimeman Read the video description.

  • Super!

  • That was some beautiful work, really well done!

  • It seems to me that only about half of the third party lenses work with the FT-1. I can confirm that my Tamron 17-50 non-vc and Tamron 70-200 2.8 do not autofocus with the adapter.

  • Amazing camera work

  • 2:38 haha nice, i see that guitar player every morning. He's awesome!

  • Great video Blunty.I'm thinking of buying one of these cameras how did you overcrank the slow motion footage down to 25 fps?

  • @kurtzy04 Same way anyone does it.... Film at high FPS, conform to lower one in post. The exact workflow varies depending on what software you're using to achieve this. Google is your friend.

  • Great video blunty this camera is really nice you look a bit sweaty though :D

  • this is actually some of the best camera work ive ever seen

  • amazing quality and great camerawork!

  • Awesome stuff, gonna have to save some cash, and look into a new mirrorless Nikon with this adapter, as I have a couple of older NIKKOR lenses I could use with it, as I hate to throw out a good lens.

  • Is this video in slow motion?

  • Quick Question: Do you get sent this stuff for review, or do you pay for it yourself? I'm sure you've answered this before elsewhere, but I thought I'd ask anyway. Anyway, love your videos and many thanks from a fellow Australian and Sydneysider :)

  • @macupgrader Both. Sometimes I review my personal purchases, other times it's loaned review units. In this case, it's a loan.

  • That V1 footage is really getting me more interested in shooting video. Can't wait for the multi-lens review!

  • awesome vid, you really know how to make everyday stuff look awesome.

  • you really doo get some bullshit comments on your video's blunty, i like how you handle most of them haha

  • Whoah, i didn't realise the video was so good looking on the V1, is that straight from the camera or is it a bit corrected?

  • @TheShabangabang1 About half the shots have had a little grading, mostly nothing more than crushing the blacks a little and some slight sharpening on a few shots. But yes, that little V1 is a surprising little bugger.

  • The video is very steady did you use a monopod, your bolt on a string trick or just place in on a flat surface?

  • @Mellby88 Tripod actually.

  • Just in case you're interested, I have a friend that works at Nikon Australia and I can confirm that the D800 will be released in the next few weeks/months.

  • @MrLouisBrooks Fuck yeah

  • I like how you say "neekon"

  • @Madblaster89 The way it's pronounced in this video is the correct way.

  • @Blunty3000 Maybe in some countries but if you go on the official site and watch the videos it's really not. It's more "Naikon."

  • @Madblaster89 Dude, I've been INSIDE the damn factory where they make then. TRUST ME on this. It's the dumb yanks who get it wrong. I say it like the people who make the damn things say it.

  • I didn't skip the intro... because I love you :D

  • Nice one! doesn't the bulk of the lens and adapter block the flash a bit?

  • @MrCazman123 What flash?

  • 4:14

Thought she was going to be hit by that bus lol

  • Sigma lenses, although usually as functional as Nikkor Lenses, won't represent the Nikon experience as Sigma lenses handle differently.

Perhaps getting actual Nikkor lenses from Nikon-- or have you a special relationship with Sigma?

  • @ALAPINO .... I'm using a Nikkor lens on it RIGHT NOW dude. Way to pay attention.

  • @Blunty3000 Yes, but it's a prime. My point is Sigmas handle differently than Nikkor lenses. Zooms rotate opposite to Nikkor lenses, for one.

  • @ALAPINO And how, precisely, do you expect that to change how this adapter works? (HINT; It can't) I smell a fanboy agenda.

  • @Blunty3000 No fanboy agenda here, Mate. I have plenty Sigma lenses in my kit bag (although as back ups). Nikon body, Nikon Adapter, Nikon lenses-- seems appropriate. Either way, your methods are thorough enough for your audience.

Snarkiness aside, I am looking forward to your review- as always.

  • @ALAPINO I noticed you avoided the simple question.

  • @Blunty3000 I noticed you answered for me, Good Sir. :P

  • sweet :D i wish i could buy it, but i have my sony alpha

  • @TheKennyGabe92 same here lol

  • The 25fps footage looked so silky smooth!

  • Sample video looks good!!! =D

  • I might just be going crazy, but I think you sounded a bit deeper voiced in this video...I dunno, might just be me.

  • Great video as always!
