Actually, the R8 has an 80/20% torque distribution, so to prevent understeer, which is common in Audi's quattro saloons. 44/55 that you quoted doesn't even add up, and its a 6 cd changer, not charger, fucking idiots.

I have a new 2009 R8 with the r-tronic transmission. At first I was unsure about it (the car was in the dealer), but after a week with it I'm happy. Driving the r-tronic is easy and allows my wife to use the R8 without worry. The car is everything I imagined.

I've been weighting several cars, of which i would like to use regularly. Audi R8 V10, Corvette ZR1, RUF Rt12.

What do you think about those 3? I know the Ruf is more expensive but it is hidden in a 911 body so it won't stand out too much if i parked it and left it for a bit.

The car was ordered by someone else who didn't take delivery. It was available, so I took it.

If you've got the money, the V10 R8 would be awesome. (I didn't want to wait and spend the additional money.)

For me, the R8 is so unique. Corvettes and 911s are everywhere and even their top models don't really stand out. The R8 stands out everywhere.

All are great cars. Pick which you like best.

There's a video of a GT-R Losing to the ZO6. In a straight line the Vette is a killer. The GT-R does outperform a lot of cars, but it doesn't hit like other others cars do, from sound of exhaust, to the looks and quality. Reviewers say the GT-R has a rough ride and the road noise is to loud. The performance is impeccable, but as a daily driver..... well it may not be as good as a Vette or a Porsche. That's my opinion.

Absoutly Unreal design. Performance is unreal to the 420 Torque brake power, just holds the road like nothing else. 4.6 zero to 60 isnt bad either but on a track, the brake power makes up for it.

I'd have a tough time choosing, if I was financially enabled, between RS4 or R8...

They share the same naturally aspirated B7 4.2 FSI, with 4 valves/cylinder. RS4 is top of its class, while I could not say the same for the coupe.

Audi not the first to have opposite shifts. Lotus did it with their lotus sunbeam model. Ist gear where 2nd is 2nd where first is etc. so you push forward on the shift to go faster. Was known as the ZF gearbox. Nice car though audi. Pity about the extra dosh for the extras.

Ever watch any rallye racing, or drag racing, or any racing at all with a ratchet shifter? It should be pull DOWN to go to the next higher gear (upshift) and push UP to go to the next lower gear (downshift).
